Babies: 3 - 6 Months

personal question

So i just got home from my gyno. i had my first annual since i was pregnant.. i have had 3 kids.. 1st and 3rd vaginally and 2nd was a c section. My question is i have this pink tissue blocking my vaginal hole.. my doctor today told me its my hymen, and its just thicker than usual and because ive had the kids that might be why it is down so low.. well its bothering me kinda reminds me of a tampon thats not in the right way and you can feel it.. She tells me this is all normal. but im sorry theres got to be someone else that has this.. and ive google and its all about losing virginity.. which well LOL im way past ..  can anyone give me any insight on this or know of anyone who has had this happen too? Hubby doesnt notice during intercourse but still.. i know its there.. so doesnt make me feel sexy. any help would be appreciated!Smile

Re: personal question

  • Well that hasnt happened to me but my husband says my anatomy down there has definitely changed since giving birth even though I had a c section. I heard things do get looser down there permentaly and you may need a tightening surgery to fix it. But that was on a talk show so who knows id thats right or not.

First, the word is permanently. Secondly, not everyone gets all loosy goosy down there. Kegels, my friend.

OP, it is very possible to retain a flap of hymen, even well after losing your virginity. You'll want to ask your doctor in greater detail, especially since you are having discomfort.

  • It could be related to prolapse.

    This link might help:

Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
