The Only Good Thing About the Oscars

1. Any time you get to see Helena Bonham Carter dress up, it's going to be a good time.

2. Sasha Baron Cohen NOT in his Borat/Bruno get up.

  • Agreed and agreed.

Also, I was SO disappointed when I saw Melissa McCarthy's (you know, from Mike and Molly) dress. I looked like a big ol' potato sack.

I LOVE Melissa. I feel like her stylist is not that good. I know she might be harder to dress because of her weight, but while the draping was an improvement from the past, I feel like they need to do better tailoring and not just throw on a sheath and say "Go."

  • I love her too, which is why I was so disappointed to see her clad in that horrible thing.

  • Did you guys catch the boob song at the beginning? According to my local news, there were lots of parents complaining on the internet that their kids were singing the song, and they didn't appreciate it. I haven't seen anything online myself, but I haven't been online that much today.

It's Seth McFarlane - did they really think it was going to be a G-rated performance?

It never even crossed my mind that kids could be watching. I mean, it doesn't start til 8:30PM here - aren't most little ones in bed or about to go to bed at that time anyways?
