Re: Acid reflux?

  • Mine was crying all the time after feeding and spitting up more than usual and she would arch her back. Plus she was just all around fussy and didn't want to be put on her back

  • My DS had silent reflux. He would scream in pain after every feeding (arching back, gasping/spluttering, etc. - he wasn't a big spitter) and by the time I got him calmed down, it was time for him to eat again. He was prescribed Zantac at his 1 month appointment and was a changed baby after the meds kicked in. We were able to stop the Zantac when he was a year old and haven't had any acid issues since then.

  • This is my LO he will be 6 weeks LO this Tuesday. The past few days he hasn't been taking naps like he usually does he wants to be held all the time. If I put him down it's for no more than 10 minutes max before he starts to cry. He's sleeping well at night but I think that's because hes not taking good naps in the daytime. His dad thinks he has acid reflux but he doesn't spit up So this is where I'm confused do I call the doctor and go see her or what should I do?

  • The only sign I had was she would spit up a lot sometimes after nursing and sometimes it would come out of nose. She never cried or looked uncomfortable.

  • I breastfeed and DD started getting really, REALLY fussy at feedings. She was constantly popping off and screaming. I came to dread feeding her. I burp her quite a few times during feedings and try and keep her propped up after but nothing really helped. And her scream wasn't one of her normal ones, it definitely sounded like she was in pain. We moved up her 1 month visit a couple of days b/c I couldn't handle any more nights like we'd been having. Ped gave us Zantac and things have been so so so SOOOO much better. I hate throwing drugs at her but it was plain she was in pain :(
