finger poke question

How much or how long after poking the fingers do they bleed afterwards? It seems like I'm having to hold pressure on my fingers after testing to get them to stop bleeding and I don't remember having to do that when I first started and I haven't changed the settings on the lancing device.

It would often take a minute or two of applying pressure before my fingers stopped bleeding. I tried dialing down the lance, but then I wasn't getting enough blood, so I just dealt with applying a little pressure.

Usually the bleeding stops right away with about 10 seconds of gentle pressure. But when I have a really good bleeder, I usually run my finger under cold water for a few seconds and then apply 20 seconds of pressure and it stops.

MIne stops with in seconds. I wipe the excess off and I am done. It heals very very quickly as well... My finger has yet to be sore. I can use the same finger over and over.

Then again I heal very quickly no matter if it is a finger prick, scrape or cut.
