Potty Training set back - advice pls

So my 2.5 yr old does great going on the potty when she is in the house and naked from the waist down. However, when she has any bottoms on, she always has accidents. I have basically given up on the pull ups b/c she pees and poops in them. Last night after dinner, I tried putting on a pair of actual underwear. She didn't have them on for more than 10 min and did a big poop job in them!! I feel like if she would have been naked, she would have just used the potty that was nearby.

Any suggestions on how to teach them not to go in their underwear or how to handle this?

    Maybe try really loose pants or shorts (no underwear)?  That way, the pants don't feel so much like a diaper and maybe she won't like the feeling of the pee or whatever running down her leg?  My DD just started PTing a few weeks ago--she very rarely has accidents, but when she does, it always seems to be in tighter fitting pants or leggings.  I also remind her every so often that she shouldn't pee in her pants.

    I'm curious about this too. My son also does good naked and does ok with underwear.

    my dd did that too when we first started training - it took her a good week to figure out how not to go in undies as well

    rewards for going on the potty helped a lot to motivate her, and we picked out a design that she LOVED and I'd say to keep them dry - no pee pee in your special undies - she REALLY got that!

    This was us. It takes time, and ditch the pull ups besides night time. Once we got rid of them it made life so much easier and things clicked finally!
