Spotting and trying not to freak out

I am hoping that this is pgal brain and not the start of something bad. I started spotting dark brown this afternoon. I dont have any cramps at all (good, right?) and I notice it mostly when I wipe, but it has been present since noon. It seems different from my miscarriage, which started bright red and had terrible cramps. This also seems to be accompanied by watery cm. sorry if this is tmi!

I am trying my hardest to not freak out at every little thing and enjoy my pregnancy, but I am just a few days in and this spotting is making me nuts. I am at 4w (14dpo). I would just call my doctor, but they are closed and they say to only call the page if you are in labor or having a "true medical emergency". I know that spotting happens to some women and if it is another miscarriage there is nothing that they can do. I guess I just needed to put my fears on here - I don't really have anyone in my life who understands what I am going through.

    I'm sorry. I know how scary spotting can be. I had some around that time due to leftover implantation bleeding. I agree, it's a good sign that the blood is dark and you're not having any cramps. My recommendation would be to drink a ton of water, put your feet up, and call your doctor in the morning to let the office know what's been going on. I will keep my fingers crossed that it's nothing serious.

    all of this!! I posted almost an identical post last Wednesday and had my betas checked on Friday to ease my mind. The best thing I did was drink water and lay down and relax for the night and next day.

    FX it stops and you can relax! ((Hugs))

    (((HUGS))) FWIW, I had brown spotting from 12-15 DPOand again at 5w6d-6w0d, and here I am, full term today! Do your best to put your feet up and relax. I'm sorry for the scare!

    it could totally be fine.  I had several episodes of brown spotting.  And yes it is really good that you have no cramps.  Drink some water and put your feet up with a good movie if you can

    I've been spotting since I got my BFP, though it's starting to ease up now (thankfully). Call your doctor tomorrow morning if you're worried.

    I had some spotting at 4 weeks too, my doctor said it was probably left over implantation bleeding. I'm still going strong now!

    Very scary. Try to rest and stay calm....it's still early and could be related to implantation.  Bright red bleeding is the danger sign. Best of luck!

    Thanks everyone for all of the support! I definitely took it easy tonight. I am still spotting, but it hasn't gotten any worse. I am going to call the doctor in the morning, but I am pretty sure they will just have me hang tight until my appointment on Tuesday, but I figure they can handle a phone call if it gives me some piece of mind!
