I've always been somewhat annoyed by my big chest. My boobs don't allow me to wear a lot of tank tops or strapless dresses, I have to buy bridesmaid dresses a few sizes bigger just to get them altered down to fit them, etc.
I've learned to love them because of what they've done for my son but today was the cream of the crop and only you ladies will understand.
We were out of town and had a crazy day. DS was really tired but seemed fine before we left. Usually as soon as we get in the car he passes out. Well he started crying as we got on the turnpike. He didn't stop, so we pulled over and he still cried. Suddenly DH say "Oh my god... when did we feed him last???" My heart sunk... mom of the year here. It was about 4 hours before. He wasn't crying or acting hungry so I didn't even think of it. He tells me when he wants to eat and didn't seem hungry so I spaced out!
So we pulled over to the side of the road and I moved to the back seat. I was able to sit in the middle seat with my seatbelt on and lean over his car seat and feed him because my boobs reached. He stayed fully strapped in of course and if my husband would have hit the brakes quickly I might have lost a nipple but we survived. It was totally uncomfortable for me but after a little bit he fell asleep and was fine until we got home.
Finally a bonus to the big ones!!!
Re: Big boobs... thank goodness!
The Blog
My BFF was also able to do this with her DD. Me, not so much . . .
It's not something I hope to need to do again but it was a lifesaver today. We had to get home quickly for work reasons and it would have thrown us off schedule by a lot... we would have pulled over of course of we needed to but it was nice to not have to.
I need a "like" button. Really need. lol
haha that's a great way to describe them! People worry about boobs sagging after kids and breastfeeding... mine have pointed toward the ground since middle school. I could easily feed LO this way but it hasn't had to happen yet!
