Stocking stuffers?? What are you giving?

I have no clue what to put in L's stocking.  All I've gotten at this point is a LIfesavers Gummies Storybook and a Diego sticker/candy thing (much to my dismay, he LOVES Diego.  Thank God he isn't all that fond of Sid the Science Kid or Caillou).

I was thinking maybe a new toothbrush, but that's all I can figure out.  We definitely don't need any more trinkety sh!t around our house, so I'd like to get some fairly practical things rather than the junk they have in the stocking stuffer aisle at Target (though those wands with the lights that spin are pretty freaking cool...)

  • Zachary (11yo):  pack of undershirts, pack of underwear, his favorite green apple twizzlers, and some watermelon ones if I can find them, and candy canes.

Alexander (3yo): pack of undershirts, Trevor toy (from Thomas and Friends), soft peppermint candies, and candy canes.

Christopher (6mo):  soothie pacifiers, mesh feeders, Gerber puffs

  • Benjamin will get a bag of M&Ms, an orange (a family tradition), a toothbrush, toothpaste, tylenol, etc.

He is getting a ton of gifts, but I love the idea of a stocking...so for now, it'll be things that we'd buy anyway, and he gets the excitement of opening them.

    I am pretty lame, though!

  • I'm doing arts and crafts supplies in DS's stocking-new paintbrushes, paints, glitter glue pens, pom-poms, etc.  Like you, we definitely didn't need any more trinkets in the house, and he was running low on some art stuff, so I decided to do this.
  • toothbrush, toothpaste, markers, body wash, hair bows/clips/barretts, M&M's...
  • So far, just some matchbox cars and one of those small squishy cars from Tonka. ?I'll probably add some paperback books and some kind of snack.

  • book, CD, diapers for her baby doll, bath toys, bubble bath, bath soap, markers for the bath tub, stickers, and I think that's it.
  • She has a huge stocking so I've been picking up things here and there. So far I have tights, socks (exciting, huh but they're great fillers), books, two movies, the little train set from Target $ aisle, a stuffed puppy, stickers, coloring book, crayons, chapstick, hair clips and headbands, playdoh. I'm going to get bubble bath, a battery operated toothbrush, toothpaste, and shampoo. My mom always did a beauty stocking and as I got older she'd fill mine with nice lotions, makeup and my favorite shampoo and conditioner so I'll do that with DD as she gets older.
  • lots of stuff other people have mentioned - ohter ideas I don't think I saw are bubbles (not bubble bath) and color tablets for the bath

for my older dd (4), some lip gloss that she'll freak over, but you probably don't want to get that :-)

  • books from target dollar bins,  a couple of small stuffed animals, a few small toy cars, bath crayons, toothbrush, train whistle (might save for when he has a better chance of making noise with it)
  • For DH: CD, stocking stuffer all in one tool thing from a boutique that fits in your wallet, i-tunes, chapstick, razor blades, and maybe a starbucks or home depot gift card, and gum or chocolates.

For DS (20 mo) : toy cars, snacks, small book, small ball, stickers, slinky, silly putty, etc.

  • For DD: Tinkerbell movie, lipgloss, bubble bath, a new monkey bath puff, a little shape cube thingy, and some candy

For DS: A football, 2 board books, Elmo remote, a tooth and gum cleaner with brush and some puffs.

For DH: Starbucks GC, Cologne, Gum, hand lotion, Itunes card

  • My DD is 5 but I fill hers up with different types of candy, a Webkinz figure, Littlest Pet Shop toys, Hot Wheels, little journals for her to color in, one of the spinny light up things from Target, Smacker's lip balms, small Hannah Montana things.
