at 16 weeks, we were told "100% boy, normally we don't say but it's for sure a boy"! We were so excited....then at 22 weeks they changed their mind and said girl...we were so sad!
Depends on the experience of the tech, but 16 weeks should be a good time, that's when my doctor's office starts saying they are accurate with their elective scans.
Due with #5 April 22, 2015. It's a girl!!!!!
Yes it was planned, yes we know what causes that, no we are not on public assistance, and yes we will be getting cable after this.

Definitely! At 15 weeks, that's when their parts look like they will when they're born. I've done a LOT of research, and found out with both pregnancies at 15-16 weeks.
I just had an u/s at 15w4d and the tech said both boys, even pointing out both penises. I'm waiting for the next u/s for confirmation before telling all our family, though, just to be 100%.
It depends on the quality of the machine and the experience of the tech. My last pregnancy, I had an ultrasound at 15 weeks at the ob, and the tech said she was pretty sure it was a boy. Went to the mfm the next day and the tech showed us 100 percent girl. The machine was incredible compared to the ob office.

Yes! I have seen online people finding out at 13 weeks! I believe their parts are completed at 9 weeks..but don't quote me on that. It is absolutely possible as long as the angles are right. I found out at 16 weeks..I went in for something else but they ended up using the internal probe which faced directly at the babies bottom!
I was told at 13w5d girl - no question and then it was confirmed at 18 weeks. If you are on the thinner side and have a great tech and baby cooperates then you should be assured at 16 weeks. Ask the tech at the end to give you their accuracy rate! Good Luck!!
Re: gender
:::side eye::: why would you be sad about a girl?

They may or may not be able to tell you the sex of your baby at 16 weeks.
No one's going to be able to tell you the gender of your baby at 16 weeks. That's something they'll probably figure out sometime around 16 years...

We had an u/s at 17 weeks, and the tech said boy. It was confirmed at our 20 week anatomy scan.
The later the more accurate, but it also depends on the tech's abilities, and baby's position.
Anxiously awaiting baby #1! Baby BOY Due: May 30, 2013!
