I have seen in the past several of you post that you didn't want internal monitoring. I was just wondering what the issue was with them. Is it just the kind that has to be affixed to baby's head?
Before I knew what was going on, I had one with ds, it was incredibly uncomfortable, and I didn't know or really trust my delivering physicians so I didn't ask questions. I just want to be better informed for next time.
I didn't want internal monitoring because they have to break your water to do it. Once my water was broken, I let them do a pressure monitor this time. They did a fetal scalp one last time and DS still has a scar! I wasn't going to allow that kind again. The pressure kind was uncomfortable and if I had a third kid, I'd not do it again.
