Kids birthday party venue?

I'm starting to look into places to have my son's 2nd birthday in May. Even though the weather is nice then and a backyard party could do, I like the idea of a venue to just invite a handful of kids without having to offer an elaborate meal and it's only a couple hours and off they go.

I looked at Firefly Play Cafe but at over $200 for the rental, it's out of my comfort level. Any suggestions for an open space/playground for a bunch of toddlers? TIA!

  • Graeter's on Bethel Road has 2 party rooms and a play area for kids that I've been to for a couple parties.  I believe it's $50 to rent and you can bring in your own food.

  • We've been to the playground before but didn't know they have party rooms! Thanks! I'll look into it!
  • You could check on the Columbus Parks and Rec website to find a shelterhouse or pavilion that's close to a playground. I think the rental fees for park facilities are pretty cheap.

  • Locker Soccer, it's $175 for up to 16 kids. I am trying to get it for my son's 4th, we've been before and it's great. Lots of open space and running so they get worn out!
