I found myself tricking my husband into sorting a mountain of papers with me tonight. I told him I wanted to get all our tax papers together - and then proceeded to sort through everything in the process.
I don't feel the least bit bad for doing it, as it was part of our 30-minute challenge (thought I'll admit that took us way more than 30 minutes). Plus they're OUR papers and going through them is a PITA (I am SO buying a filing cabinet once we're moved into our new house), so it's only fair that we'D both do it.
Am I the only one who tricks her husband (or anyone else, really) into doing things?
Re: Tricking your DH/SO/whoever
Guilty.
I trick my family into eating foods they don't like all the time.
And sometimes I can trick them into going through piles of crud by going through it myself and looking very threatening with a garbage bag in hand.
I need to trick myself into cleaning my room, though. My fit of sulkies has meant that I've been too drained to do jack sh!t in my own living space and it's lookin' rough up in hurr.
// I love you too. //
Sometimes I get DH to do things I want him to do by not giving part of the details. I guess that's kinda tricking.
I don't think I've ever successfully tricked DH.Since I'm not a creative cook, I haven't tried hiding veggies. He's pretty sharp - not easily manipulated or tricked.
