Haha, I've googled the same thing. Most articles I find say that by 1-2 months of age, baby will probably be nursing 7-9 times a day. So it shouldn't be too much longer (in the grand scheme of things... I know that probably seems like forever right now).

I don't even know how often she eats... But it doesn't seem like its anything like it used to be. Sometimes there's 4 hours between feedings especially if we're out and she's distracted. At home I nurse well before she's fussing for it so probably more often than necessary.

Mia eats constantly during the day and every 2-4 hours during the night still, she is 8 weeks old as of tomorrow. I think she is a snacker though and likes to nurse for comfort. If I ever hold her vertically on my chest she starts "birding" like she is pecking around for milk. I don't know if she actually needs to eat but I always give her the opportunity.
I hate to say it, but IME with DS he was still eating every 2-3 hours until he started really eating table foods at breakfast, lunch, and dinner and that was after his 1st birthday.
Granted the number of feeds decreased a bit once he started sleeping longer at night and he also got far more efficient at eating so it wasn't quite the drawn out process it is with a tiny baby so that helps!
