Toddlers: 24 Months+

Let's talk sleep training.

I need to start sleep training DD. I know I'm a little late to the party on this but something has to be done. We are all exhausted. I was considering doing the Sleep Lady Shuffle technique. Anyone tried this? Please tell me your methods of sleep training and how it worked for your child.
I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. 1Samuel 1:27 Image and video hosting by TinyPic Lilypie Third Birthday tickers Lilypie First Birthday tickers Team Peeta Tag Pictures, Images and Photos

  • I did CIO, but I did it at 10 months. When we transitioned DD to a toddler bed at 2, we had to redo CIO, but each time it only took two nights and she was in the swing of things. It might be harder for your LO since you are starting so late, no judgements though.

  • I also did the cio when my son was around 10 months. It worked great for us.

  • DD is not a CIO kind of kid. We did pick up/put down a few times and it always worked for us, even when she was 2 y/o.

  • I was also late with sleep training. I did CIO at 15 months. Took a week with every day getting increasingly better, then the only recently at 2.5y I stopped the middle of the night feeds. It was only once in the night and had become a habit for this long.  i would go into his room when he was crying and would tell him there is no milk, gave a cuddle then put him back down and left. took about 5 nights.  Im lucky, my son listens very well.  good luck!
  • We waited a really long time to sleep train. DD is three and we just recently did the sleep lady shuffle to get her sleeping in her own bed all night. I liked the method but you may have to adjust depending on your LO. We took a bit longer with it since she was used to sleeping in our bed half the night, and falling asleep with one of us laying down with her.
