  You may want to ask your ped about this! I asked mine last week at our 1 yr check up. She said, because Ian eats so well, that's there's no need for him to take vitamins. I was afraid because he was coming off formula that he would need a supplement...she said because he eats well, and eats plenty of meat, he's fine without them.

  I was told to do a half of flintstone chewable vitamin everyday. But that is only because Grant doesn't eat enough to get his daily nutrition goals met. I would doubt a vitamin is necessary in most cases.
