Getting rid of baby stuff

Have any of you given or sold any baby stuff? I was going to give my travel system away at our local Airman's Attic. Of course, I haven't gotten around to it, so I put it on craigslist. I'm going to buy Anja some new clothes with the money. It's just crazy that I'm already at the point where I am getting rid of some of her stuff. I do plan on having more children, so I'm not getting rid of a lot. I hated that travel system though. Buh bye!

Re: Getting rid of baby stuff

  • Selling my Snuza, the bassinet, the bucket carseat (and glad to clean out our junk drawer full of instruction manuals)

Giving away old swing, mini high chair and alot of not so cutesy clothes to our version of Goodwill

Consigning his fancier clothes that Im not attatched to (and probably the bath flower if theyll take it.)

Keeping our RnP, our giant stroller that I love, and another high chair I like alot better.

Im so glad to be getting rid of stuff!

  • I am saving it for number 2 as well. I had a hard enough time just packing things up and putting them downstairs!

  • I gave the swing, bouncy seat, play mat, the tommee tippee bottles that didn't work for us and the A&A swaddling blankets to a friend who just had a baby.  I'm going to sell the Kick and Play Coaster thing because it's barely been used, the Ergo (we use the Beco now instead) and the infant carrier seat.  Everything else we're still using.  All of the 0-6 month clothes I sent to one of DH's friends who is having a girl.

  • We're pretty much saving everything for Baby #2. The only things I have given away are the Playtex Nurser Drop-In bottles and liners that I got at a shower and never used.
  • As I pack away clothing, I get rid of items that were nms/weren't comfy/didn't fit DS well. If he barely wore it, I probably wont put another LO in it much.
I am trying to decide whether or not to keep our travel swing, we have two cradle swings as well that we will save.

I will keep all the bigger items like the travel system, high chair, pnp, bouncy seat etc. We got all of those in neutral colors / prints so that we can use them for another LO in a few years.

    First we had eachother.5.27.11
    Then we had you.6.16.12
    Now we have everything.

  • We bought everything gender neutral in case LO #2 ended up being a boy. Now that she's outgrowing stuff, it's all going into storage for my sister who is currently TTC. We're saving everything for her but the stroller, which I know she will not like. That sh*t is SO expensive, especially considering the short amount of time you use it for. I'd hate to get rid of it all only for her to have buy it all new in a few months.

  • We are keeping it all for #2.  If we have a girl we are all set - we recived so much pink stuff it isn't funny!

  • We bought all gender nuetral stuff for the big ticket items so we're saving them for #2.  We just got done putting DS's bucket car seat and bases in the attic and I also put all his old clothes up there.  If we end up having a girl next I'll probably sell or donate the boy clothes and keep the gender neutral items.
