Okay, now I'm sure this has been done, by I've never seen it. Now I'm a music teacher and H is a music therapist, so music is some serious biz in our house. We are also both dirty jazzers, but when it really comes down to it we have eclectic taste. So what are your Top Five favorite music artists? Bonus points to anyone who knows what movie the top five thing comes from

1. Steely Dan just stop; I can't handle their genius

2. Stevie Wonder never judge a formerly great artist for their latter day sinsI'm aware his 80's stuff is hugely inferior

1. Barenaked Ladies: Seriously amazing and fun in concert, I've seen them 6 times and always come out feeling like I got 10x my money's worth

2. Queen: I so wish I could have seen Freddie Mercury live, what a genius

3. Fun.: Their two albums are probably the only ones where I loved each and every single song, first listen. Other albums I like some songs, but have to warm up to others over time. Fun. Have seriously rocked my world this year, love their vibe and sound

4. Maroon 5: Sexy Adam Levine, sexy voice, what's not to melt over?

5. Michael Jackson: Need more be said?

My SS #6 is Blues Traveler, that guy can totally rock a harmonica, love their sound

So DH hates my taste in music. Pop all the way. Britney, Christina, Taylor Swift, and Beyonce are among my faves. I pretty much love anyone who has ever worked for Disney.

Truth. Blues Traveler was one of the best shows I've ever seen. I also love Maroon 5 and Queen.

i agree. They were from Arizona where I live. My now husband and I had our first date at their concert so it's sentimental for me but I still get excited seeing that he finally "made it"

Umm are you talking about "HIgh Fidelity", if so, great movie. If not, still a great movie. My roomate in college was a huge fan and forced me to make lists with her for months after the fact. To this day when we see one another we end up doing the same thing.
