2 weeks old fussiness?

My baby is 2 weeks today. Up until now he has never cried. Today he seems way more awake and crying is that normal?

    Mines about 2wks, also, and has become more fussy all of the sudden. I'm guessing its just a product of him becoming more alert to his surroundings. I also imagine that , by now, they're becoming more demanding for their food source.
