Can you get a +OPK while on AF? Confused...

This has happened to me the past 2 months and I am trying to figure out if something is off, or if this happens to anyone else:

 Basically, my period after DS2 has been consistently about 4-5 days of really light spotting, and then 5 days or so of flow. I have been testing while still on AF because FF tells me those are good days to test. It's not based on temping or charting -  just the highlighted days (on the app calendar) that, I assume, are based on what I have as day 1 - b/c I am not taking my temp/charting every day.  (DS2 wakes up screaming so I rarely get to temp, but I try to input OPK, how I am feeling, etc. I know this is not nearly as accurate as temping,) and the last two months I got a +OPK while still on the tail end of my period. 

A google search said possible, but unlikely. My cycles are about 23-25 days or so.   Is this just luck that I am getting +OPK?  Is it accurate?  I am confused - this just seems very unlikely to be accurate.

    If your cycles are that short, then it doesn't seem unreasonable to have +OPKs that early.

    Yes

    I have cycles that are on the shorter side and I've gotten a + OPK on CD 8 before.
