I was going to make this a poll - but the Bump won't let me. I'm sure there is another way but I'm too lazy (there's my FFFC)

Do you.....

Always have sex on O+1 if you are fairly certian you Ovulated?

I'm in that position today and I would love a night of comfy p.j's and laziness but I don't want to feel guilty about missing out on a night in my fertile window.

I kinda don't plan it, not fully anyway. I do OPK's, I temp.. but I don't narrow down our sex to any specific night, because that tends to frustrate BOTH me and DH. I'm not one for planned sex, because then it feels a bit forced in my head. (for us, not saying anyone else). We just kinda have it around the time, and hope for the best.

If I were in your position, I definitely would. I don't want to be paranoid thinking about if I missed my shot at conceiving this cycle. PJ's and laziness do sound tempting though...

HELL TO THE NO! My vajay usually needs a break by then. After 13 cycles, I can pretty much always tell when I've ovulated. Once I'm sure, I tell the peen to stay in it's cage for two weeks.

I would HIO if I were you. What if your temp goes down tomorrow and not up? O isn't confirmed till you have 3 days of elevated temps so technically you don't know for sure that today is O+1. It could be O or O-1. Only temps will tell.

ETA: What did your OPK say today if you tested yet? Also I just saw that you had sex yesterday, so you'd be covered if you didn't want to do it tonight. But I'd do it tomorrow to cover your bases.

I think you could take the night off, too, but HIO tomorrow to cover your bases.

DH and I are being pretty casual about TTC right now, since his travel schedule is crazy right now. If he weren't out of town, we would have HIO last night, too (I think I O'd today or last night).

I rarely bother with +1. I think in all the months we've been trying, we hit +1 *maybe* 2 times. Ha. Maybe that's why we're *still* trying.

We ususally do O+1 just because I have seen a few others on here with BFPs who have said that's what they did. I like to think all of my bases are covered. We're also doing EOD until AF or BFP -- because I'm a glutton.

I'm glad you asked that because I was wondering the same thing! I think we are going to HIO tonight just to be safe since we didn't last night. Since you did last night, I think you would be okay taking a break, but that's totally your call!

Glad other people think about this too!

I'm trying not to get too stressed about this process - and so while I want to get in as many days in my fertile week as possible - I also don't want to exhust DH and myself and make things feel like a complete chore.

I don't want to get into the headspace where it's like - well we didn't this day so that's why no BFP. I just want to have a decent chance each month so I know we did what we could and then the rest is in God's hands.

I'll see how DH and I feel tongiht. I would be completely fine with a quickie!

I try to HIO for a few days until I know for sure that I've ovulated.

My cross hairs have moved too many times for me to rely. I at least try to hit EOD.

This is usually how I feel (except only 8 cycles for me). I started to tell myself that I wasn't getting pregnant because we were missing O+1. We've done it twice now and I'm still not pregnant, so we don't really push ourselves if we don't feel like it.

Nope. By then I'm usual done with sex. Maybe if we could in the am, but that never works out for us.

I do, but I try to do it first thing in the AM on 0+1. My thought is, maybe I just ovulated overnight and I have one more shot to get that egg fertilized!!

I was totally feeling the same way last month, we on on an EOD schedule ish....it helped me a lot
