I'm worried about having sex I'm 35 weeks pregnant and the baby's head has proper dropped and I'm scared when me and my partner does have sex my waters might break

Re: Sex

  • Not gonna happen. Don't worry you can have sex up until labor unless your doctor has told you not to.

  • i was just thinking about this too. i was hoping maybe if we went at it maybe i could stir up labor a little sooner. i figure we have to get it in while we have the peace and quiet!

YES!  It freaks me out!  I'm glad I'm not the only one!

  • Maybe TMI, but DH and I DTD today. LO is very low, and we had to be more gentle than usual for my own comfort. I had some Braxton Hicks afterwards, which triggered some fun digestion stuff, ha ha. However, relaxing for a few hours and everything calmed down. No movements from LO, and I've heard that the motions from sex puts them to sleep. My MFM said that sex is fine up until your water breaks (when you don't want to risk introducing bacteria) if you aren't on pelvic rest.

I was on pelvic rest until very recently due to complications.....so no sex for many, many months.  When the restrictions were lifted, we had sex, and yes, baby moved a LOT.  It was seriously weird.  I didn't tell my husband until after, because I didn't want to weird him out.  Honestly though after going so long without, and knowing that it is safe, I will probably do it again.  :)

  • I can honestly say I  am distracted enough to not notice if LO is moving when we dtd.   When I was pregnant for DS we were dtd'ing right up Neil the day before I went into labor and I'm sure we will be this time too.  I know we will have a long wait afterwards so were not giving up just yet :)
