If you were going to surprise a 12 year old with 1D tickets..

My sister is getting my niece tickets to a concert in July. It's a really big deal because they'll have to fly across 3 provinces to get there. It's going to be a huge trip and a total blast.

She's trying to decide how to tell/surprise her. I suggested a scavenger hunt using 1D's names in the clues, which she liked but figured my niece would figure it out in the process.

Any fun ideas?

The 12 year old NKOTB fanatic in me is giddy over this. I wish I could be there to see her reaction.

That sounds like so much fun! I don't have any ideas off hand. I really hope my daughter inherits my love of boy bands and pop music so I can take her concerts!

While I haven't been hanging out here, and I'm not a "Directioner", the boy band fanatic in me knows I'd love the concert as much as she would. So yeah, I'm jealous, too!!

I'm trying to convince my sister to take her down closer to me to see the concert, but that would require the added step of getting my niece a passport before then.

I like the scavenger hunt idea. I was going to suggest just show up at the venue like I did with the Jonas Brothers for my DD (before they were huge), but if they are flying then that would make her realize it.
