Bring wood from the barn, stack wood on porch, start fire, keep fire going. Feed and water animals, burn trash. Etc, etc. Maybe it is just country living... Or MH working nights... Just thinking to myself.
me too!! I'm always the one to take out the trash, mow the lawn, shovel the snow, you name it. Normally I don't mind, but I'm also the one doing the dishes and laundry and all the 'woman' chores around the house. It's tiring. Not as tiring as what you have to do though.
LOL sounds like a lot of gathering, is DH off hunting perchance?
It's just country living. My great-aunt is like that too. She did ALL the work within sight of the house and raising 4 kids, her DH was off mustering, dipping, branding and so on....?
I'm living proof that you can take the girl out of the farm and the farm out of the girl. I am so glad we moved to the city when I was a teenager. I'm never EVER going back.
Re: Why do I have to be the man in my marriage?
GAHH! And to think I get upset when he forgets to take the trash to the curb!
I would not make it on a farm. I'm too much of a city girl.
