Umbilical cord question?

Hey ladies!

I was just wondering when others LO's lost there umbilical stump. Piper lost hers on day 3 and it doesn't seem to bother her, it didn't bleed but it still looks a open and I am not really sure if its just something to keep an eye on or if I should call the doctor about because like I said its not bothering her, and she still does tummy time like a champ.

Anyone else's little one lose theirs early?

LO lost hers at 5 days old. I just kept it clean. It did bleed off and on for about a week though. Just keep it clean and of course monitor it for any signs of infection or irritation, otherwise you should be ok.

DS lost his at 5 days. We were told to clean it with rubbing alcohol everytime we changed his diaper. It looked great just days later.

DD lost hers at 1 week exactly. It still drained for a little while after that; there were dark spots on her onesies and I saw a little mucus in her belly button for a couple days. It was not red or inflamed, and she wasn't bothered by it, so I let it go. Now she's 3 weeks old and it looks great.

Milos lost his on the tenth night. It's day thirteen and it's still looks like there's some dried blood but that's all

DD lost hers at 2 weeks but it oozed for a few days after that. I put a little rubbing alcohol on it after diaper changes to help keep it clean while it continued to heal.

DD lost hers at 3 weeks. It was a pain and I kept hoping it would fall off.

DD lost her's at 5 days. They did silver nitrate before we left the hospital. It was fine until the next night when it started to bleed. Not a lot of blood. We let it go for a few days but hubby kept worrying so I let him call the pedi. They had us come in and do another silver nitrate and that was the end of the bleeding. It kinda scabbed/sealed itself up and that "cleared" up a few days ago. I think the only reason it started bleeding was we use cloth and I think they were putting pressure on it that disposables weren't.
