Swimming on vacation

What do you suggest we our traveling with our LO next month and are going to the beach. We don't intend on taking her in the water there at all but what about the pool at our hotel? Do we need those little swimmers? Do we need a bathing suit too? Wouldn't be any heavy duty swimming she loves her tubby time though so anxious to get in the water some with her

    We CD so I'll just use a pocket shell for swimming but def get a little swimmers if you don't CD. I wouldn't put my LO in a bathing suit if you don't own one unless the pool is outside and LO would be directly in the sun, then I'd prob only get a swim top. Have fun!

    You absolutely need a swim diaper. Regular diapers swell up terribly in water. The huggies little swimmers work just fine. I'd pick up a bathing suit, but that's just me.

    DD was in our pool as early as three months and she loved it.

    I had a bathing suit for her and a hat and stayed on the shady side of the pool.  I found a float that has a baby seat and an attached umbrella thingy, she really enjoyed it.

    I recommend swim diapers because they don't absorb liquid and therefore won't get saturated and uncomfortable.

    Also be sure to rinse the chlorine off baby's skin afterwards and maybe use a baby lotion on LO's skin after that rinse.

    If you don't want to pack along the disposable swim diapers, charlie banana has cute reusable swim diapers that they sell at target.  Cute prints so they can be the "swimsuit" too. THe little swimmer don't hold pee either so you'll need to change back and forth anyway, might be easier to just have one reusable swim sdiaper that goes on and off each time you are actually swimming with her

    We are a Florida beach family..so peoples over-precautions are always funny to me.  Get some swim diapers,a swim suit, sunscreen, and a hat...and you are good to go!  Put baby in the pool or the ocean, he will love either! My kids go to the beach ALL.THE.TIME. and we don't feel the need to rinse the chlorine off, put on baby lotion after, etc.  BUT that is just us..and our culture.
