Trying to Get Pregnant

Food Poisoning

Anyone know any remedies for this awful crap? And do you think it can effect the 2WW?

Re: Food Poisoning

  • Aww. Not much helps, in my experience. Crying

I had food poisoning really bad a few years ago, and what surprisingly helped me was a warm bath. It made my stomach cramps less noticeable and helped me relax.

Of course, remember to drink lots of water (if you have trouble keeping it down, try sprite and just a sip at a time), and rest. Feel better soon!

  • Oooo... Food poisoning is awful! Unfortunately, once you have food poisoning all you can do is do your best to stay hydrated and wait it out. Often sports drinks like Gatorade or Pedialyte are well tolerated, but as others suggested flat Sprite also works. If you have severe vomiting and/or diarrhea and can't keep even fluids down, you should go to the ER. Can it affect your chances of getting pregnant this cycle? Probably, if it is severe as above. However women under much worse circumstances have gotten pregnant, so it's hard to say. Either way, all you can do is wait and see... Best of luck!
    Ovuline helps couples conceive faster.
  • Pedialyte - It's sensitive to an upset stomach and will help replace lost water and electrolytes.
