I had a regular diaper bag that was cute but looked too much like a diaper bag for my taste so I always carried the diaper bag plus my purse. So when I decided to look for a new bag I looked for two things: 1) a diaper bag that was nice enough to look like a large purse/bag and/or 2) a back pack diaper bag. I found a good combo of both in a Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag. Their diaper bags are not back packs but have the straps to use them as back packs and are cute & stylish. They are not cheap bags but I bought mine on ebay and paid about half of what they run at Nordstroms.
