From where do you take your temp?

I've heard that you can temp from any of three obvious places and to avoid the armpit (duh). But where do bumpers recommend temping? And why? TIA!

Mouth. I can be a mouth breather and I've never missed my temp shift.

I temp vaginally because I am a mouth breather. I've done it both orally and vaginally and I see a clearer shift when I do it vaginally.

I started temping orally (don't think I am a mouth breather) but started temping vaginally this cycle and my temps are SO much more consistent that I will def continue temping this way.

i was from CR, I need to update my profile, my DH and I moved to Bermuda last year. He worked at AEGON and we transferred to their Bermuda office. I do not miss the crazy winter weather you've been having! But all our family is still in the Midwest so we go back often!

orally - I can be a mouth breather but I still get CH and definite temp shift. My charts just are not terribly pretty.

I haven't temped in about a year but when I did it was always orally - I actually never even considered temping vaginally. My temps were always pretty consistent except when I was sick or having a really nasty allergy episode.

Started orally, have switched to vaginal temping now.

I feel like my therm takes forever, and it always made me feel a little gaggy in the morning when I temped orally, so that is my reasoning for switching to the vag.

From my bed... I started oral temping but switched because I got my mouthguard and my temps were all over the place.
