I check out the AP bored every once in a while and while I was there I saw a post with this link to a blog.

This lady's reasoning was crazy in my opinion, did anyone else see this?

Her sole argument is that breast feeding is bad because teenagers won't admit that they were breast fed, well duh, and where is she going that woman are just whipping their breast out to feed. If there are topless woman surrounding you I have a feeling you may be in a strip club.

I thought this too. I mean how many teenage boys do you think asked "Hey mom was I breastfed?" I was cracking up at how breasts are crawling with germs and because you cannot boil it don't put it in baby's mouth. Crazy

The comments are awesome too... Apparently she would grab her kids' hands and use hand sanitizer on them, uses a scrub brush on her breasts to get them clean, and had an elective c section bc vaginas are dirty. Sounds like she has some serious germ and body issues.

I don't breastfeed, but my decision was definitely NOT based on any of the reasons she mentioned....there's really nothing else i can say about that article b/c i have nothing nice to say about it

I second this. I don't breastfeed but that NOT for any of her reasons, my reason was my husband wanted to take an active part in feedings as well as me and from the very begining we took split shifts overnight, me 11-4 and him 4-10:30.

Wow, I agree with PP she's got some big germ/body issues that have nothing to do with breast feeding. I strictly pump myself but only because 1 my LO tries to "chew" his food 2 I had to go back to work after 3 weeks my boobs are perfectly clean thank you

Of course a few germs never hurt anyone. I bet her kids are always sick because they have no immunity to speak of

I am sure the teenagers also do not want to admit that their parents had used a baby voice and talked about them making a big stinky nor do they want to hear about their diaper related fiascos, or even have their parents make eye contact in public ... tough toenails!.

Obviously she recently ate out at a mall where someone was BFing - I must give that individual props... I do take out these days simply because it is easier for logistics. I am sure the mom would have complained and given dirty looks for the disturbance if the mom let her hungry child scream and disturb her meal as well.

It's stuff like this that makes BFing so exhausting for me. A woman I met recently gave me such a weird look and acted embarrassed because I said that I BF. There really are those people who think it's somehow wrong or gross and it ultimately makes me uncomfortable to BF in public. I still do, because my daughter comes before anyone else and their unsolicited opinion, but I genuinely wish our culture would change in that respect. I'm so tired of having to explain myself and trying to educate these kind of idiots.

This woman is a f*king idiot, obviously or trying to get ppl to read her blog and that is why she wrote this outrageous nonsense. Otherwise, maybe she has some kind of OCD. If so, then I feel sorry for her. What a freak!
