When did you tell everyone? I'm trying to decide when we should spill the beans to our friends

I told DH right away.
I told my siblings, my parents, and a handful of very close friends over the past week.
We will tell the ILs after the first u/s and we know everything is okay.
We will everyone else after 1st tri (around 13 or 14 weeks).

first one i was just over 9 wks and this time we are trying to wait until end of 1st tri... we told everyone on easter with DS and this one falls around easter too so we think it will be funny to announce on same holiday

We are waiting until Easter weekend when I will be 10 weeks. I'd rather wait until 12 weeks, but we are traveling home to see family that weekend for the holiday. I'd rather tell them at 10 weeks in person than 12 weeks over the phone.

We'll start telling family after my first appt, at 10.5 wks, early bc my sister is visiting and we can tell my whole family at once. Then close friends, then everyone else after 12 wks.

We are waiting to tell. I wanted till at least 10 weeks and it sounds like now it will not happen till 13 weeks (longer if I can get SO to hold out). I have had M/C before and that is why I prefer it. Plus, I lam tired of people asking if we have enough kids when we tell people. My answer is always, "well we can afford them, so I am sure it doesn't really matter, does it?"

Sorry, cranky today.

Anyway, my ultrasound just showed a sac. My Dr. wants to see me near the end of March and then schedule another ultrasound. So I know SO will not tell anyone till we know there is a heart beat. I think I will be 11 weeks (if you put me at 5 weeks at the ultrasound because it was just a sac). Although, 2 of my kids have appts in the mean time, so I will talk the Dr. into listening for a heart beat at those appts. lol

Maybe after our first couple of appointments I'll feel more comfortable announcing it to everyone.

Not sure, we are toying with the idea. I have an appt Monday and I will be 6 w 5 days, almost 7 weeks. So I debated 8 weeks. Then I think "at that point its only another 2 weeks until I am 10 weeks so why not old out until my early u/s?". So it'll be a play it by air thing. No earlier than 8 weeks for sure. Once we tell family, everybody will have to know (minus co workers of course) and I am not ready for everybody to know.

I told DH right away and my immediate family (not incl. aunts, uncles, grandparents) the next day. I've only told 1 friend and my cousin who is also pregnant in the week after BFP. We had our first u/s on Wed and we're 6 wk 3 days now ... Now that we've heard the heartbeat I'm planning on telling 2 more of my closest friends on Monday and DHs family next Friday when they are in town. I plan on telling my grandma and extended family on her 80th birthday in March. I don't plan on telling "the world" via FB or being open about it to everyone else until 13 weeks.

We told our parents, close family and two close friends at 5 weeks once i have it confirmed with a blood test. Dh told his supervisor earlier this week nc he had to watch dd while i went to orientation. We decided at the very begining to wait to announce to everyone until we had an ultrasound pic or at least heard a heartbeat. I wont be seeing the doc till 12 weeks. Gonna try to keep quiet till then but not sure if it will happen lol

I found out at 4w1d and drove to my husbands work to tell him. We told our immediate family (parents and siblings) the same day. I wanted to wait to tell our best friends, but DH did not, so we told them over dinner. DH is having a harder time keeping the secret than me and I'm beginning to think its the worst kept secret around, lol.

After a serious chat I told him that I didn't want to tell anyone who I wouldn't share the news of a m/c with. Of course our best friends will be an important support group should anything go wrong.

I know its customary to wait until the end of the first trimester, or until you hear a heartbeat, but you should do what is best for you. If you need or want the support of your friends, tell them.

I am 5 1/2 weeks today and I am telling my parents tonight... I've already told my IL's and best friend... I will probably wait until after my ultrasound at 8 wks to tell many more people.. I am headed to Ecuador with as a leader in our youth group and I think I should give my team the heads up before we go so they know why I may need a bathroom more often, or why I am so tired!!! I am looking at cute announcement pictures and pinning them on pinterest now!

I have my first dr visit next week. I will be 9w 3d unless doc says otherwise. If all looks good I plan to tells close family. I will wait to tell rest of fam, friends and work until I start to show. Which feels like it might be soon. My bloat is out of control.

We are planning on telling my parents this weekend. His parents have some problems going on right now so we are going to wait a bit on telling them. I like everyone's idea on telling people on easter. I was planning on telling work on April 1st, or April fools day

If everything looks good at our ultrasound at 7.5 weeks, we'll probably tell my parents at 9 weeks because they'll be visiting us then and it will be the only time we'll see them until I'm well into my second trimester. We'll then tell his parents shortly after (by phone probably but they've hinted at coming to visit this spring, so in that case, we might wait until then). We won't tell anyone else until first trimester is over, then start with our siblings and move on to other family and friends.I'm a freelancer, so I haven't yet decided when I'll tell my clients. They never see me in person, so I might wait until I've better decided what I want to do about work after baby arrives.

We told our family at 5 weeks. We're waiting until our u/s next week to tell our friends, and I'm hoping to wait until 12-13 weeks to tell my boss.

We've told some close friends and are telling our family on Easter. We are going to hide blown out dyed eggs that say 'crack me open' with the ultrasound picture in it. And for out if towners I'm mailing blown out eggs in mini baskets.

I told my DH the same day I got my BFP.

I told my best friend last weekend, right before 8 weeks. I saw the HB at my appointment at 7w1d.

I told my mom last night after seeing the HB again at my dating US.

We're planning to tell DH's famiy/extended family/close friends around Easter when I'll be nearly 14 weeks. Our reasoning for not telling these people until then is we don't want the information "leaked" before we get a chance to tell people or posts of FB until we do an announcement.

I'll probably tell my boss/coworkers the week before Easter or the Monday after Easter.
