Trying to Get Pregnant

Wondfo questions

Hey Ladies!

So I have the CBEFM and am considering buying the wondfo strips instead d/t $$$.  I know many use these and recommend them, but do you just use any cup to pee in or did you go find a special testing cup?

Any opinions on these???

Thanks!!

  • I use a shaving cream top/lid. Just make sure it's not one that has a hole in the top. And I use Wondfo's and love them bc they are so cheap! Just got 100 OPKs for $24!

A good majority of the ladies here use them. I've been using them since July and I've caught my surge every cycle, so I'd definitely recommend them. They're effective and so cheap compared to the ones you'll buy in stores.

Before I bought the wondfos, I bought a package of OPKs from the store and they came with a cup, so that's what I use. You could use pretty much any disposable plastic cup.

What's in bold applies to me as well.

  • I used to use the little plastic, dixie bathroom cups (before IF reared its ugly head and I was a POAS addict :).
  • i just purchased wondfo strips this cycle, and I love them! I bought a pk of 100 opks and 20 hcg tests for like 24 dollars.  As for my cup, I have an old medicine cup that I use, I keep  it tucked away under the sink.

  • Do you all pee on them morning and evening? I read somewhere that unlike most tests these are more accurate if used in the afternoon?!?

I had been peeing on one mid morning and one in the afternoon or evening.  I was able to catch my surge last month by doing that.

  • I use one of DDs plastic cups that she gets at like Red Robin. I wash it everytime and keep it under the sink.

  • I've used them also because I like to pee on things and don't mind peeing on these bc they are cheap.

I use an old 1/2 cup plastic measuring cup. I like it because it has a little handle so I don't pee on my hand. I store it under the bathroom sink with the opk's so there's no confusion about it making its way back to the kitchen  :)

That is smart, I need to try that.  OP - I have a stack of little 3 oz dixie cups that I use.  When I run out of those, I'll be moving on to the little plastic cups that you use to make jello shots, because my sister has a ton of those that she doesn't need.*

*Clearly she's not doing it right if she has unused jello shot cups.

  • at home I use 2 oz ramekin disposables (left over from making jello shots) but I take one to work I use the wondflo pouch b/c I dont want to have to carry around a pee cup or anything at work! LOL  I have figured if you use a finger inserted into the pouch to hold open the top of the pouch - its pretty easy that way...except for the whole peeing on your fingers thing :)
  • I grab a little dixi cup from my kids bathroom and use that for the 4-5 days I'm doing opks.  I just rinse and stick it under the sink until the next time I test.  I have used wondfos ttc DS2, TTA and now TTC #3, haven't had a problem catching my surge any of the times.  I'm also pretty familiar with my CM so that helps me to anticipate my LH surge and know when to start having sex before the opks are even +.
