Re: ? ? February's Hopeful Hearts Check-In ? ?
Getting antsy to POAS. My hubby has been traveling for work since Tues and he made me promise not to POAS while he was gone. He gets home tonight!! Anxious for the beta on Monday. I had a case of a 24 hour stomach bug yesterday so I hope everything is still good in my stomach!
I always wanted to be an oceanographer and take care of dolphins. Ended up the furthest away from that - finance!

QOTD:
When you where a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an FBI agent! I went to school and got my degree in Forensic Criminology. But in college I found my true calling and now work in the developmental disability field. It is my passion and I love my work.
Hello ladies,
it's 6dp5dt and FRER is now a glaring negative, I know it's still early but I'm not feeling so hot and have been keeping low lately. Beta is on monday, so I only have three more days to get through.
Congrats to all the BFP's and good luck to everyone else!
QOTD: I was dead set on becoming an astronomer and working at NASA
Q: When I was little I wanted to be a movie director. I LOVED entertaining and putting on shows with my friends and cousins but even more I loved telling them what to do!! I am a speech therapist now and guess I am still telling kids what to do haha.
DX: DH (30) severe MFI, severely low count & low motility
Me (32): all clear
Appt with Urologist 5/21/12: exam, ultrasound, bloodwork all normal.
Testicular Biopsy with TESE on 6/8/12. good sperm found! (left side only) froze sperm, failed thaw test
Orientation for IVF/ICSI on 6/13/12. Waiting for the green light following biopsy results...results show adequate sperm production both sides.
2nd SA 6/18/12: sample is "adequate for ICSI"
Plan: IVF/ICSI July 2012!
ER: 7/26/12. 15 eggs retrieved, all mature.
TESE/TESA/aspiration from epididymis, no motile sperm found
froze all eggs, the saga of praying for good sperm continues.
8/3/12: 2nd opinion from MFI uro on biopsy slides. Suspects "partial late maturation arrest."
Plan: more SAs, third biopsy/TESE with frozen back-up either from DH or DS.
SA 8/17/12: Zero sperm
SA 8/23/12: Zero sperm
9/26/12: SPERM FOUND! 15 eggs thawed, 12 survived and were ICSI'd, only 3 fertilized normally. Refrozen as embies and will thaw in Nov. Please survive and grow!
All 3 survived the thaw on 11/15/12!

January PAL Siggy Challenge: Good Advice
I am 4dp5dt after FET on 2/18. Beta is scheduled for 2/27. The time seems to be going by somewhat slowly. I had a discussion with DH about POAS and he has given me the go ahead to do whatever I want. He said, "I don't understand why you would want to because it could be completely wrong." I explained since we didn't have a trigger injection, there was no way to get a false positive. So I am going to try to hold out until beta day on Wednesday. I only have wondfos at home anyways. It's going to be very difficult. Trying to stay positive! Good luck to everybody!!
QOTD: I wanted to be one of the people on CSI. Ended up going to med school and now I am going to be a child and adolescent psychiatrist, still in residency, It's been a long road. I must say it have been difficult dealing with fertility issues at work with parents telling me "You don't even have kids. How can you tell me what I should be doing or prescribing to mine."
<
, beta #3 3/4: 268 told to stop meds and let nature take its course. requested 4th beta (3/6); Beta hell for 2 months.
Married June 2011 Dx: anovulatory due to prolactinoma (1.5cmx 1.5cm in 2006)

Your story keeps reminding me of how things can change. I definitely haven't lost hope, but reality is very slowly creeping in.

Hey ladies!
Waiting on Beta #3 results today. Beta 1 was 14 and Beta 2 was 31 so I'm on track so far, hopefully that continues.
Since I had such a slow starter though, I'm wondering if my due date may be off? I guess I won't know until the 1st ultrasound.
When I was a kid I wanted to be a scientist. I have an engineering degree so I sort of accomplished that.

Good Morning, and Happy Friday Hearts! I had my first PIO injection last night, and I was so proud to have made it through like a champ! I was very well prepared with all the great tips I have gotten on here. My lining was at an 11 at my last u/s, and I am set for transfer on the 27th. I am excited, anxious, nervous....you know how it goes!
QOTD: I wanted to be an elementary school teacher since as far back as I can remember and have always loved working with kids. But teaching kdg is insanely draining and exhausting, so I'm happy to have stepped away from the classroom while going through all of this.
Good luck everyone!!!!!!!

First ever BFP!!! Beta 1=216, Beta 2=870 1st U/S=It's TWINS!!! It's a BOY and a GIRL!! Everyone Welcome!!!
QOTD: I wanted to be an interior decorator.
was wondering how you were doing... keep that positive karma going!!!! the little embabie just may be already giving you trouble and in that case will grow up to be a wonderful stubborn child.
thinking of you!
Whoa. I just got my Day Three call from my RE. We retrieved 14 eggs on Tuesday - 10 mature, 3 slightly immature, and 1 not mature at all. We fertilized 13 with ICSI. Today, we have 10 embryos - one 9 cell, four 8 cell, and five 6 cell. My RE said she may just want to transfer one on Sunday if they continue to look this good. I can't believe that after three long years, we are this close.
QOTD: I wanted to be a lot of things. At age 4, I wanted to be a princess. At age 7, I wanted to be Wonder Woman. As I got older, I alternated between being a National Geographic photographer and a lawyer (like on LA Law). I ended up in Finance.
I am currently 8dp3dt and hanging in there by a thread. So many thoughts going through my head right now. Because I have never seen those 2 lines, I think I'm just assuming that I never will. Then the other half of me keeps telling myself (yes, I talk to myself) to relax and this is the best shot at doing that! My eggs fertilized, numbers look good, lining was great, doing everything I can to make this happen. I just feel so crazy right now! I was going to POAS Sunday, day before beta, but now I'm thinking of going to by some FRER's and doing it tomorrow in addition. And not telling DH.
He is even frowning upon doing it on Sunday but I told him I can't go to work and get the news there if its negative wtihout knowning first. Maybe I'll go out for lunch today and go to Babies R Us and enjoy being PUPO today since I'm worried it will be the last day if I test tomorrow and its BFN. I'm going crazy!
QOTD: I think I remember telling people I wanted to be a teacher or lawyer.
You can move me to the 2WW group! We transferred one perfect little 5-day blast on Wednesday 2/20. Beta is scheduled for Friday 3/1. I'm going to try not to poas, we'll see what happens.
QOTD: I wanted to be president. Obviously. I joke that I still could have been too, except DH has too many skeletons in his closet to make a good first man. My back up plan was to play with the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
I'm really really hoping you're right!
Let me know once you decide to POAS, that stuff is not for the faint of heart
I'll be looking for your updates!
Heya Hopefuls. Good Luck to everyone waiting for first Beta. Mine is on Monday Feb 25th!
I 8dp5dt. I'm going to test on the 24th when I was scheduled to have my first Beta (the lab is closed Sundays) I figure I can relay on the result. If it is BFN I want to be in the privacy of my own home with DH. Beta draw is the 25th at 7:40am and I should have results that afternoon.
We switched the timing of our PIO injections from the morning to the evenings and I had a bit of spotting and cramping that day. Clinic said not worry. The wait is killing me!!!!!
QOTD: I wanted to be a musician. A cellist, not a rock star. I wanted to play in an orchestra.

TGIF Hopefuls!
I had ER on Wednesday. Had 27 retrieved, 14 were mature, 12 fertilized and got the call this morning that 12 have divided and are still in the race. PGD testing is tomorrow and God-willing ET is on Monday, 2/25.
QOTD: I wanted to be a Supreme Court Justice. I became a CPA instead, not even a lawyer.
TTC#1 since June 2011. 3 early losses before 6 weeks. Hope Olivia born and went to heaven July 26, 2013.
Just came back from the ultrasound- since my last ultrasound on Wednesday- i haven't seen any growth
they going to see if we can up my dosages BUT I have fluid in my uterus which is apparently a sign of over stimulation- so I've been instructed to wait for blood test results and eat a lot of salty foods and drink gatorade- RE didn't seem overly concerned-going back on Monday- but I left the office feeling really unsettled/scared/sad like I have no idea what is going on or going to happen. It did make me SO happy however to see how many people are BFP this cycle

yay!
What I wanted to be when I grew up as a child-
I wanted to be an actress. It actually stuck with me for a while until I had to choose between cheerleading and drama club and decided I was a lot better at cheerleading than acting....anyway in real life I decided to work in digital media ad sales which is sometimes a little bit like both
Hope everyone is doing well!!
TTC Again since 8/16/2014- 3rd Clomid Cycle with IUI starts 8/18
You can move me to the "Between ER & ET" group, please!
ER was this morning - 19 eggs retrieved. RE is slightly concerned about OHSS, so they have me taking Dostinex (sp?). Also chugging Smart Water like it's going out of style. Fingers crossed for a good fert report tomorrow!
QOTD: I really wanted to be a Vet. I've always loved animals.
Good luck hearts!
It's twin girls!! Born on 11-2-14!
Update: I'm 9dp5dt. Took another FRER yesterday and it seemed to be a bit darker since the one I took Tuesday. My Coordinator finally called me back and I will be going in 1 day early for my beta since at this point, That's the earliest I can come in. She said she we could do Monday, but DH and I will be driving back from NYC Monday morning. So Tuesday it is, and hopefully this busy weekend will go by fast, but I also hope to enjoy it!
QOTD: I wanted to be so many different things, a Vet, Oceanographer, Doctor, Nurse, ballet dancer.... lol.
I LOVE seeing the BFP list growing and nothing in the BFN list!! Keep it up ladies!!
I am still waiting...this part sucks. I've had mild cramping on and off. Yesterday I had a killer headache and was really fatigued. Those are usually signs of looming PMS
So just trying to stay positive right now, but as you all know, it's hard when all you've ever known is negative, negative, negative. Just taking it one day at a time...that's all I can do. I will probably POAS Sunday or Monday. Beta #1 is Tuesday.
QOTD: I always wanted to be a veterinarian, and I achieved that dream
**TTC #1 Sep 2009-Feb 2013** Me: 33 DH: 32 (healthy, SA = normal)

TTC #2 March - August 2015 = all BFNs
Prep for FET #1: Aug 2015: found "mass" in uterus on saline sonogram; scheduled a hysteroscopy to remove.
Sept 2015: Hysteroscopy: mass turned out to be scar tissue(?), all removed. Recheck saline sonogram 2 weeks later showed "stuff" still in uterus (more scar tissue? remnants from surgery? Will see if clears with a period). Recheck saline sonogram 1 week later: all clear! Start Lupron and Estrace. Follow up u/s 2 weeks later: uterine lining only 5mm, add in patches. Follow up u/s 1 week later: uterine lining = 4.3mm (argh!), stop estrace and patches and start estradiol injections twice/week. Follow up u/s 2 weeks later: uterine lining = 5mm
Instructed to keep on estradiol injections and recheck in 5 days = lining still at 5mm. Need to make a decision - go for it? Or toss in the towel w/ this cycle and start all over again next year with a new protocol. Decided to go for it as we had 17 frosties; what have we got to lose??
12/2/15 = transferred 1 perfect Grade B blast
12/9/15 = HPT - BFP!!!!
Beta #1 12/11/15: 236 Beta #2 12/14/15: 503 Please stick little one!!!!
U/S scheduled for week of 1/4/16
I am LOVING all of the BFPs going on this month!!!! Congrats! And good luck to everyone else.
Still hanging out in the 2WW... getting eager to POAS. Will probably cave this weekend. Beta isn't until next Friday morning. Started estrogen patches on Wednesday and chugging along on the PIO shots. Started having a little cramping yesterday and this morning, so I'm just going to assume that is a good thing.
QOTD: I wanted to be a teacher, or an artist or a photographer. I ended up working retail for about 8 years, and have just recently left that field to start working in a call center in the insurance world (LAME, I know, but the hours are so much better then retail and it pays better).
Hello ladies! (((hugs))) to those in need and congrats to our recent bfps!
I finally got to go see what was going on today at my u/s. My lining is nice and thick at 13.8 and both my ovaries are nice and quiet! We are cleared for our transfer on Tuesday. I go back on Monday for some b/w and then will be waiting patiently for the call from the embryologist to let us know how the thaw went. I did find out today that they did not freeze my embies in pairs, so they can thaw one at a time if they need to
As a kid I always wanted to work with horses, and I did for a while. I just haven't been able to find a way back into the industry yet.

I definitely understand your fear. I've been having cramps on an off, located only on my right side though, around the ovary. I also had a very small bit of brown cm on some tp on I t Jin Wednesday. Nothing since then though and it was such a tiny amount. Try to keep your head high! (((hugs))))
wow. That is scary! Hope you get some relief!

We are 9dp3dt and I am just enjoying being PUPO. I am sort of scared to POAS so I am going to wait until Sunday, the day before my beta. We are in New Orleans for a conference so that is a fun way to keep my mind off things.
QOTD: I wanted to be a veterinarian forever. I ended up becoming a pediatrician, which people say is sort of similar! It does make for some really hard days sometimes seeing all the babies (especially the unwanted ones born addicted to drugs, etc) and I get the same response as BrideJackie of people saying how can you advise me on treating my child when you don't have children of your own.
It's amazing to see that long list of BFPs! I hope that trend continues for all of us!! I went in for labs today. I'm 4dp5dt. Nurse said estrogen and progesterone looked right on track so no change in meds. Beta is 2/28. I'm feeling a lot less bloated today. I woke up at 3:30 and 6:00 am with some more cramping. I certainly hope that's a good sign.
I had a little situation that made my heart drop today during b/w. I asked about my one frostie and how good it looked compared to the 2 that were transferred. She said you didn't have any make it to freeze. All at one time my heart dropped and I had never been so confused and devestated at once. I repeated the phone call she and I had and she insisted we had none make it. I guess she knew by the look on my face and the glassy eyes that she'd better check again. And BOOM she said you did have one make it! Not sure why, but I got all weepy at that point. Relief I guess. She showed me a picture of it and said it was a day behind the two I had transferred.
Good luck to everyone!

I am 9dp3dt and enjoying being PUPO right now. Not quite ready to give that up if we get bad news on Monday! We are in New Orleans right now (DH has a conference) so it is a fun distraction but makes the not drinking part harder and weird. We have friends that live here that don't know what's going on, and I don't really want to tell them so that should be awkward.
QOTD: I always wanted to be a veterinarian when I grew up until I worked at one as a teenager and changed my mind. I am a pediatrician, which some people say is similar! It does make it hard being around babies all the time, and sometimes parents think I'm not in a good position to advise about vaccines, etc, since I don't have children.
Sorry I'm so late posting... it's been a busy day!! Soooooo excited for so much good news in our group!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm going crazy in the 2WW. Not sure when to POAS. I definitely want to before beta b/c hubby and I want to be together for that moment AND I don't want to find out from a nurse on the phone. My beta is next Wednesday... should I just wait until that morning or maybe the day before or maybe even over the weekend!?!? Ugh!!! The mental struggle is killing me!!!!
QOTD: Dancer. I always wanted to be a dancer. Even majored in dance in college. Then I got hurt, left school, and joined the flipping Marines. Fast forward many years later, I wasn't happy in the IT field and started Photography on the side for a couple years and now I've been full time for 3 years!! Looking back, I think I just always wanted to do something CREATIVE to be happy.
Hi Ladies!
Congrats to all the new BFP's! (((hugs))) to those who need them.
I'm 4dp3dt and feeling normal, really. Sore bewbies, but I know that's from the progesterone. Oddly enough I have no desire to POAS at all. I'm kind of scared of pee sticks right now, actually. Beta is 3/5.
(((hugs)))
Hope everything went well this morning!
