How long have you "been around"

I have been around since 2004 when I started planning my wedding, then they moved me over here and have been addicted since.

July 2002. I'll never forget, I had just gotten engaged and a coworker suggested I check out this website that made me go, "huh?" She said, "you know, like tying the knot. theknot.com" and I said, "oh...!"

I then went, registered as you have to do for everything, and used the beginning of my email address, thinking who needs creativity... I mean, who would EVER get on the message boards and STILL be on 6 years later. NOT ME!

I first came on here in Sep/Oct of 2001 when dh and I were just dating and talking about getting engaged. I was only freshely 18yrs old and a Sr in highschool. I joined right away and planned my entire wedding on here. We got engaged Dec 2001 and didnt get married until Aug. 2004. I was so addicted by that point that there was no leaving. Plus we got pg with L our first month ttc so I started boing on BOTB when it was a nice board full of nice women. Now it scares me.

So, Ive been on here 7yrs.

My join date on here is different because I had a knot identity crisis. I used to be Bagel Bride or something stupid. Then I changed it to something else stupid like Lucky*Ducky. (we were going to do Ls room in ducks but changed our mind) I was pg at the time I re did my name)

I started at the knot in '03, moved to the nest as they rolled it out shortly after we were married in '04, then came here after I had DS.

I love it! But I hate that I've lost all my posts......and that I have 'newbie' status.

Started on the Knot in 2001 planning my wedding. Then, moved on over to BOTB when I got pregnant, then over to the subsequent trimester boards. After DD was born, I hung around the baby boards but found them to be too inactive.

I've changed my name here since I first joined so my "join" date doesn't show 2001.
