Starting this a few hours b/c mornings are always hectic for me.
Happy Friday ladies! Hope you all had a decent week?
We have quite a number of ladies joining us on SAIF this week. A big welcome to: Whales, Ducky, KatieKT, diana.filipi, chels, and Mattsbride!
Fingers crossed for those who are TTCing or awaiting results.
T&Ps to those who need them; special thoughts for imoverit, itsmevkb, and jme515.
So, what are your plans for the weekend? Do you have anything special planned for yourself, or with your LO?
I hope you all have a relaxing and safe weekend, esp those who are expecting snowstorm the next few days!
Re: Happy Friday! What are your plans for the w/e?
We have no plans.
I am so darn exhausted due to M fighting naps all day long. Last night he fought sleep as well and it took 4 hours to finally put him down (from 7p-11p). He woke up bright and early at 7am, and I got him to take a nap at 8am. He woke up before 9am. From 10:30am-11:45am, I spent the entire time getting him to nap again. He initially was smiling and babbling when I first put him in the crib, but when I walk away, he escalates to protest whines, and eventually full on crying. He stops crying the moment I pick him up. He finally fell asleep at 11:45 but woke up exactly 30 minutes later. He doesn't fall asleep even when I hold him in my arms; nor in the swing. I resorted to driving him to a mall in the afternoon so I could walk him in the stroller. I walked nonstop for 1hr 45 mins, and he took two 30-min naps during that time. I also took him to the pedi just to make sure he doesn't have an ear infection. (no, he doesn't).
Anyway, DH is bringing the car in for the "big" service tomorrow morning (we share 1 car), and pick up Sat morning. It's gonna cost us an arm and a leg. The car is 8+ years old but only 50k miles on it, so we're definitely keeping it for many more years.
Originally I want to go get a haircut on Sunday. But now with the threat of a snowstorm sat eve-Sun morning, I probably will postpone the haircut until next weekend.
So I guess our weekend will be spent getting M to nap. He is so unhappy all day because he's so tired. Even when he wakes up from his 30-min nap, he immediately starts yawning and rubbing his eyes. I don't know how much longer I can handle this... it's been 7 days...

Our IVF miracle, Baby Boy M, arrived on 11/8/2012!
No big plans. Some former coworkers are taking a long lunch to visit tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to visitors! My eyebrows are frightening, so I'll definitely be making an appointment for a wax. And, either DH or I will need to head on over to BBB to look at strollers. The boys still eat every three hours and feeding them in public is not really a great option, so one of us will go and one will stay. I'm so excited for the weather to warm up so we can take walks!! The double snap n go is great for errands, but not really for neighborhood outings. And, on another note- I FINALLY took the boys out all by myself. We went to target and wandered around. I know it doesn't seem like a big deal to some, but I'm so excited it went well!!
Pb_bride, I'm so sorry about all of the sleep issues! How frustrating. You are doing an awesome job!!

Our perfect baby boys were born at 36w1d!!
DH and I are celebrating my *gasp* 29th birthday this weekend. My idea of 'celebrating' includes going to the Pirates exhibit at the museum downtown and out for dinner and a couple of drinks. I'm really looking forward to it
I'm sure we'll just do something with the kids on Sunday ... like go grocery shopping as a family. I know most are probably jealous. I lead a very exciting life.
Pb, I have a sleep fighter on my hands too. You have my sympathies! Here's hoping for some good sleep this weekend!!
This weekend is my grandpa's 80th birthday. So, lots of people coming in to town. DD will get to meet lots of my cousins and her great aunt and uncle for the first time. My brothers are coming home from school, too. Saturday, everyone is going skiing (which I'll probably skip) and we'll have a chili dinner at my parents' house. Probably some shenanigans after dinner cuz we never all get together. Sunday we are having a party for him at our family friends' winery/tasting room. Should be a great weekend!
Hope you all have fun, too!
Saturday night we are supposed to get at least a foot of snow, so I think we will just be staying in and keeping warm.

After 10 weeks of bedrest, our two little ladies joined us at 28w6d
Instead, I am laying in a hospital, hooked up to an IV of fluids and major antibiotics. Oh, and did I mention how much fun trying to pump while hooked up to all this is? Good times!
Just missing DS and DH so badly.... Hope everyone has a much better weekend than me!
We are keeping it low key this weekend, trying to keep C from as many people as possible still. My sister is coming to town to meet C for the first time, very excited about that, and we may do lunch at my gram's on Sunday, weather permitting of course. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Tonight will just be hanging out at the house, but tomorrow night we are going to the rodeo cookoff. It's a huge deal here, and we have friends who have a tent there, so it will be a lot of fun. Today is Go Texan day, and LO is wearing her purple cowboy boot tights with a little dress - so cute! Sunday will be yet another attempt at church. So far we're 50:50 on E handling it okay. Last week she just wanted to babble and holler the whole time. Silly girl.
Have a good weekend everyone!

DS has been a miserable sleeper this week (his whole life) and I'm living off of an IV of coffee. DH is bringing home takeout tonight, and I'm letting the dishes and laundry pile up.

DH has a buddy coming to town for a race they are doing Saturday. So J and I get to pick him up and hang until DH gets home from work.
For me, an organization for which I'm on the board is having a major fundraiser tonight and tomorrow. J and have been working on it all week and we will be down there again today and tomorrow.
Sunday I may not get off the couch except to walk my pooch.

Tomorrow night is date night, so I'm taking DH on a "cheer up" date. He got passed over for a promotion he really wanted this past week, so he's been really grumpy. We're going to go eat man food and then see the new Die Hard movie. I hope it works to get him out of his black cloud!
On Sunday, my BF is coming over in the morning to scrapbook, so that should be fun. We always drink a glass of wine, even if it's morning. It's a tradition. Judge me if you must.
Hugs to everyone who needs them and I love seeing the board be busy!

TJ, I'm so jealous you're going to cookoff. We're not going this year...it's just not the same when you're pregnant. Cookoff is definitely my most favorite Houston event every year! Enjoy it for me!
