Is cramping normal?

So I have had consistent cramping since the day I Oed (now 14 DPO). Everything that I've read I haven't seen that cramping is a normal pregnancy symptom. Is this something that I need to be worried about. I posted a few days ago that I had light pink spotting 5DPO until 11 DPO. I am just so nervous and want to make sure everything is going to way that it should be.

Re: Is cramping normal?

  • Cramping is completely normal! I think most of the women on here have had cramps on and off. The only time you need to worry is when it is accompanied with bright red blood or if the pain becomes severe! Try not to stress, but if you need a little encouragement you could always call your doctor just to be sure!

  • I've had mild cramping for the last week or so as well.  It was the same with my first pregnancy -- and it lasted for a few weeks in until it changed to the stretching type of cramps (which I thought felt different from these initial cramps).  First time around, I found that drinking water and staying hydrated greatly reduced my cramps.

  • I've also had quite a bit of mild cramping and lower back pain with this pregnancy!

  • Thanks ladies! That makes me feel a lot better. It's been 3 years since I was pregnant with DS and I don't remember all that stuff.
  • I had cramping from week 4 to about week 6, including the infamous sharp twinges! Now the only abdominal pain I feel is pulling and tightness when I sneeze, which is a lot, or sit up too fast.

  • I have had cramping with all three of my pregnancies. My doc says not to worry unless it is accompanied by bleeding.
  • Mild cramping/aching in your uterus is very normal.  I had it with both my healthy pregnancies and am having it with this one too.  If you feel intense cramping, then you would want to call your doctor.

  • I've been having my normal PMS cramps along with cramps that kinda feel like someone is tapping little needles along my belly (almost more like tingles).
