Last night Parker was having a little diaper free time before her bath. We have all wood floors, so I'm not that worried about accidents. Well, of course she peed, but I didn't realize it until our dog was nearly done licking it all up!
Part of the reason were not TTC yet is because I don't know if I can love another baby like I love my two. Also because I just got skinny again and look fab.
DH and I are going on a solo trip in May for a week and I plan on laying on the beach, drinking a lot and maintaining a buzz at least half of the time!

Two nights ago I gave Munchkin Benadryl for the sole purpose of getting him to sleep.
We did this with my DS on Xmas eve!!! Best decision we ever made! In all fairness, he had a cold, but we totally gave him the Benadryl to get him to sleep. I don't know how he would have fallen asleep otherwise, he was just too excited! We will definitely be doing it again next year!
This no bottles business is for the birds, DS still gets 2 a day. He damn near refuses the sippy with milk, water yes, milk no! He's certainly my child my mother had to pry my bedtime bottle from my fingers at 4 years old!!! Gasp 4!!! I pray we can break the habit before then!!!
Also, goldeleaves the trip in May sounds fab!!! No flames here!
I love my little sister to pieces, I really truly do. However, I'd really like to shake her...can adults get "shaken adult syndrome"? A little background...she's 33 weeks pregnant, today (which I'm super excited about). This is baby #2, another boy, her son is 3 1/2 and she has EVERYTHING from having him. So, other than the basics of diapers, wipes, bath stuff...she needs NOTHING. The baby will be the same season as her other baby so she doesn't even need any clothes.
So, here's why I want to shake her. A couple of weeks ago she seriously started pitching a fit, like a toddler, that no one had started planning a shower for her! We had had a conversation at my mom's one day about maybe doing just a small get together, maybe a diaper party, but more of just an excuse to get together and eat. She reemed my mom a new one, a couple weeks ago, telling her that she wasn't paying as much attention to her with this new baby as she did with her other one, she didn't love this baby as much, that they don't 'need' anything for this baby and they can take care of him but he deserves to have a party too, on and on and on! My mom has A LOT going on right now and just hadn't had a minute to do anything. My sister called me b!tching about my mom...she called her best friend, b!tching about my mom. What my sister does not know is that her best friend is throwing her a surprise party. It's been in the works since like the 2nd week in January. So, we had not "planned" anything because this shower/diaper party is already being planned Out of guilt now, and to make my sister happy, my mom is now planning another shower for her...more of a "tea" than a shower. My sister has really been a complete brat over this whole thing. I had to talk her down off the ledge. Her friend really wants the party to be a surprise, and my sister will be ecstatic because she loves surprises. But, I CANNOT WAIT for her to eat all the ugly things that she said to my mom!!!!
I guess that's not much of a confession, more of a vent that I've been needing to get off my chest. I guess my confession may be that I don't have a problem with showers for 2+ kids, to each their own, it's really no big deal to me. But at this point, because she's been such a brat, I really wish that we weren't doing anything!

I was going to confess the same thing! She pretty much weaned herself from bottles except bedtime. She still refuses to drink WCM from a sippy. She takes a drink and dramatically spits it out and glares at me. I tried to give her a sippy at bedtime (1/2milk 1/2formula) during story time and she threw it on the ground, yelled and kept signing for milk. I poured it in a bottle and she dranke every last drop. I figure she will get over it eventually. If it means she still STTN, I'm cool with it.

I told my dad he couldn't come to DD's first b-day party.
Why? My mother was still sick in bed on Saturday with the stomach bug/fever that she had gotten Thursday. She actually got sick with it at my house while watching DD... she felt fine, then "BAM." So - my dad isn't the most hygenic person in the world, so he could have been any second away from exploding from either end on saturday... or he couldn't brought my moms germs with him. So I said to him that it would probably be better if we celebrated later.
The next day, my mom got snippy with me and said "well, that's not how germs spread." Whu --- YES IT IS!
So on Saturday, I had an awesomely decorated/planned bday party for DD.... for 10 of DH's family and none of mine.

My other confession. I am annoyed that a friend from our playgroup is also pregnant and due in October. Don't get me wrong, I am happy for her. But she is one of those perfect pregnant ladies, basically the opposite of me. She had no MS; I was puking every day for 27 weeks. She had no concerns or risk; I had placenta issues and pre-term labor. She had an easy, med free birth; I lost 50%of my blood after delivery and was too weak to hold my baby. She was back to a size 2 within 8 weeks without dieting or working out; I still have 10lbs until my PP weight and I was working out 3x a week for the last 6 months. I know I shouldn't be bitter because my LO is so much cuter than hers but I can't help but be annoyed!

Similar to the bottle FFFC: I have no intention of weaning DS from the paci. That is his comfort item and I will let him have it in bed for as long as he would like. They are only young once and he will eventually give it up.
I feel the same way. DH keeps yelling at me because my ped said we need to get him to wear from them and I'm not listening. It's the only comfort thing he has (he's not attached to a lovie or blanket) and I'm really trying to limit it to naps and bed time. But it's that last little bit of babyhood for him and I don't want him to lose that!
I've got one! In an effort to teach my daughter that the crib is a happy place, I have gotten into it with her several times this week. And I fell asleep once while she napped. Yep. I slept in the crib.
I haven't shaved my legs in weeks. I don't care.
I think my baby looks cute with her paci in her mouth and I've no plans to wean her from it.
I may bf her till she's two and yes it's partially for me. Oh well.

I agree! I wasn't even going to start taking it from her until she's 2.
BUT, she can only have it for nap at daycare starting Monday when she moves to her new room. And then in 6 months when she moves again, no pacis at all. : (
