Hi everyone. I am hoping you could give me some insight on what I am experiencing. And, just a heads up, this post will contain details that may be seen as TMI, but it's needed to explain my question, so don't read if you don't want to know, lol! I also want to say my husband and I are not actively trying to get pregnant, but don't always use the precautions against it.
Usually I ovulate mid-cycle and I know this based on the type of CM I get each month, and then my period will come about 2 weeks later. Well, this month, I got my period on Feb 11th. I noticed late on the 13th and the 14th I had gone right from my period ending to gooey, ovulation-like CM, which has never happened before. On the 14th (Valentine's lol!) my husband and I did the BD with no protection, except he pulled-out at the end. I didn't think much of it, since I had just finished my period. But now today, exactly a week later, I had a little spotting. I had to go #2 (I warned you, lol!), and when I wiped I had a spot of red blood. I was startled, but thought it was from the #2, but it was from my vagina (sorry don't know an abbreviation for that). I wiped there and had some more red blood and a little brown gooey string. About 45 min and an hr later, I checked again, and when I wiped I got very slight light brown spotting.
I know it may be a strange question since I just had my period last week, but it seems to all add up...and I have never had any spotting/bleeding outside AF before.
Any experiences with this or advice? I assume it's too soon to take a pregnancy test and since my period isn't actually due for a while I am hoping to get some more info until one of those happens. Thanks!
Re: Could this be implantation bleeding?
No, it's not implantation bleeding. Women bleed mid cycle all the time, even if you never have before. You are on CD11 or so, the bleeding could be from ovulation or just random mid cycle bleeding.
You are going to wipe a damn whole in your vagina. Stop wiping.
No need to be so rude...
I am not wiping every 5 min or something. I wiped when I went #2, then wiped to find out where the blood came from, and then 45 to an hr later to check again and it was brown.
Seriously, just be nice...
Ok, I apologize. That was definitely IB, you are totally pregnant on CD 11. Go pee on a stick. If it is negative, it is wrong. If this is the case, you will need to call your Dr. for a blood test. If that is negative as well, it's wrong. Congratulations!
Was this closer to what you were looking for?
If you think you could be pregnant , pee on a stick.
Also, there is a newbie link that you should read so you don't get frustrated trying to post on this page, I highly recommend it.
I don't have much advice, but would like to offer the wisdom of my college professor regarding the pull-out method. In a lecture one day he said to us college freshman, "Sex is like basketball. There is always a little dribble before the shot. Wear a condom".
I guess I was wrong about our fun being taken away with the new newbie link...
OP - First off, I cannot believe you said "#2!" We are classy ladies here and never speak of such things. Learn some manners. Second, the only way to know if your KU is to pee on a stick. Thirdly, please visit the newbie link and find the chart about IB. Oh, and have a wonderful day.

chocolate mint. phenomenal.
No one is being rude. We see these posts all the time and the Reality of the situation is IB can only be IB in retrospect.
Nobody knows the answer right now. Keep testing and then you will see. Then when you get your bfp you can post it all over here and rub it in our face saying it was IB after all.
Seeing as she's on CD 11, highly unlikely it's IB. OP mid cycle spotting happens.
Where did this come from? I didn't read anything that gave that indication. Or is the purpose of this question just to create drama where there is none?
haha that is really funny! But seriously OP the pull out method is not reliable. With that being said my dh and I have been using this method for the past year because if by chance I got pregnant, it wouldn't be a big deal bc we were planning to ttc shortly anyways. If you truly do not want a child please use a condom or get on bcp.
Chances of your spotting being IB is highly unlikely. Even if you've never had spotting mid cycle in the past a change in hormones or sex could cause you to spot. GL
