I used my regular food processor to make his food. It didn't work for us because Lucas up until recently was very sensitive about textures and I couldn't make it the right consistency for him.
In theory I would love to get it just because it looks so nice, but I might just use a blender that we have.. I wouldn't mind though if a family member were to get it for me though
I love the idea of making my own baby food though. Saves so much money!

A big YAY from me. Love my Baby Bullet. It works better then a blender on getting a smoothe puree from a small amount of food. I also made my own oatmeal with the milling feature. I say get it!
I loved making my own baby food! We got a Baby Bullet as a gift and I liked it well enough. The storage containers were the best part. If I hadn't gotten it as a gift I probably would have just used our food processor.

With my first, I had the same intention. I bought the baby bullet, but my dd never liked homemade food I think it was the consistency. She loved store bought baby food. I was bummed, but I guess it was easier. Good luck if you get it!
Nay. If you don't already have a decent blender or food processor, I'd invest in one of those instead. You can even get away with one of the smaller food processors; they'll definitely get the job done for less money and you can use it after he's past that stage.
I have the baby brezza and I love it. However, I got a hell of a deal on it and didn't have a food processor or blender at the time. Weird, I know. I just liked it because of the steam option on it. If you already have a food processor or blender I wouldn't buy one unless it was a great deal.
I thought I would make my own baby food but I ended up doing Baby-Led-Weaning (where they eat finger food from the start). Way easier baby food and it worked way better for my kids.
I bought a $15 mini food processor (Kitchen Aid) from Target. Worked perfectly. I just steamed or baked the food, tossed it in the processor then froze it in an ice cube tray. While I think the baby bullet is adorable and would work just fine, seems like a waste for something you only use for about 4 to 6 months.
Our blender didn't cut it, but its kind of cheap. I did buy the baby bullet and loved it! The motor did burn up at the very end of my baby food making:( I have a friend that used baby food in glass jars. She kept them for me and I filled them instead of the little ones that came with the baby bullet. They freeze fine and I was able to make more at once. I'm picky about what my daughter eats. Making her food was less expensive even buying organic and not a lot of work. Win, for me!

I would wait and see how your baby tolerates pured food. DS2 ate pured food for all of 1 month and now eats whatever we are eating. He hates baby food and I was about to buy the BB and am so glad I didn't!
No way. This is a perfect example of something you don't need. I made all my son's purees with my regular blender and steamed them in a steaming pot. Buying another appliance for this offsets a chunk of the money you're saving by making your own and it's way less efficient because you have to make everything in smaller batches. If you do it in a blender, you can make a whole big batch at once, scoop it into smaller containers or ice cube trays, and freeze them so you can take them out as you need them. And if you have a decent blender, the bullet does not work any better.

I have a regular bullet, and its on its last legs. Ive been debating on what to get. I think I'll probably just invest in a good food processor instead so it can keep being used.
As cute as the baby bullet and the containers are, I think a real processor is a better investment.
DH and I are planning on using our regular magic bullet (which gets used daily), and either going the ice cube tray route, or finding some small freezable containers to store in. Didn't see the point in buying an appliance just for a few months, when we basically have the same thing already. Regular bullet comes with a smaller cup attachment if you're only blending a small amount, too.
We'll see though, with my luck our Bullet will die next month and we'll have to get a new one anyways!!
with my daughter I just used the regular sized magic bullet, it was way cheaper and you can make a larger bathch and freeze the extra in ice cube trays

Ditto! I made my own brown rice cereal too. I couldn't get the same consistency with the big food processor.

Love my baby bullet!! we grow everything in our back yard and its so fun to come up with different "creations" and put them in the cute cups the only thing i dont like about it is cups are only 2oz when our babies usually eat 4oz of veg and 4oz fruit
I made tons of food for my kids. I just used a regular pot and steamer, my regular food processor, and bought ice cube trays from the dollar store. Freeze, then pop em out and keep them in ziplock freezer bags. I didn't feel the need for special baby food making equipment.
i use an immersion blender. DD started rejecting many purees at less than 9 mos, so now i often cook her regular food cut into small pieces anyway.
This.....it was soooooo easy clean if you were making a few foods...we did use the blender for chicken....home made food really tastesbetter...the only thing I couldn't get down was prunes
good luck

nope. I am going to use my regular bullet. I got it as a wedding gift, and I tested it out a week ago after seeing the baby bullet demonstrated in a store.
I see it as: it makes the same consistency and has the same blades, so why take up more room in my house?
