c section booked in

hi guys, i just had my 36 week appointment today down at the hospital, we booked my elective c section for 12 march....due date is the 20th but they only do booked csections on a tuesday where i live, i am having another csection as my previous pregnancy ended in an emergency one so this is the safest route for me to take this time...anyway it means baby will be coming out at 38 weeks and 6 days...this seems early to me and im worried it could mean she will be too small as her scans have all said she is a small baby, i just worry there could be jaundice issues of breathing problems etc....i could also just be worried about this because i was overdue with my first when i got induced so i worry this baby might be nowhere near 'ready' when they pull her out. Anyway just seeing if anyone here has been in a similar situation, not really sure what advice i am expecting u all to offer lol just felt like writing all this down

What happens if you go into labor early? is the hospital set up to do another emergency csection? if so maybe schedule your elective csection for March 19th?

My DD was born 38 w 2 d (induced for pre-e, ended up having to have a c-section) and she was 6 lbs 15 oz. Perfectly healthy, no jaundice, breathing problems or anything. Only issue we ever had was w/ her latch when bfing, but that was due to her being tongue tied. Good luck!

my dr's office schedules c-sections for 39 weeks, and i've heard some drs say they think 38 weeks is the ideal time, so you should be fine.
