sex baby, lets talk about you and me.

Ok, in an attempt to liven up the board today, tell me about your sex life after LO or LO's.

I seriously feel bad for DH. We probably DTD 2, maybe 3 times per month. I don't know if it's me, my BC, or what. For example, I could be in the mood in the middle of the day, but then he does or says something that completely turns me off. The sex drive is there, but it's so fleeting. Here one second, gone the next. Is that BC related? Because that's easy enough to fix. Tell me I'm not the only one!

You are not the only one! That's exactly how it has been for me, too. Maybe the post pregnancy hormones are still a bit off? But it has been over a year, so I would think it should all be back to normal by now. I am not on any form of BC, so that's not it for me. :-/

P.S. I was totally singing that song when I saw your title ;-)

You are not the only one at all! Between the kids, work, the house, the pets, and just life we hardly ever have sex right now. I am hoping that will improve as the boys keep getting a little older and less needy. But I explain it to DH that people NEED NEED NEED from me all day, that by the time he needs me I NEED my space for a while.

I feel like it was like this after DS1 too, once he got a little older and less dependent on us and stopping night waking things got better.

We DTD like once a week, maybe twice. haha.

Problem is work, and work, and the baby, and just stuff... it's so hard to find us time. I'm up at 630 for work and by the time I get home stuff situated and dinner made and we eat and baby taken care of, it's usually 9-930 and we head to bed at 10 and just about pass right out! Sunday is the only day we have together as a "lazy" day bc we are both off, so that's usually when it's done (in case you creepsters wanted to know)

We're usually once a week or so, maybe twice. It's actually been better since DS was born because I had a lot of pain before that apparently birthing a nearly 10 lb baby will fix.

Before we fooled around often, but actually DTD like 6x/yr and I would be in terrible pain. We didn't even try after birth until DS was 9 months old and were pleasantly surprised!

Now the issue is that since I'm not on BC and don't want to be, my periods have been lasting upwards of 2 weeks so that really cuts into the number of days we've got.

How's that for TMI? Haha!

Intercourse 0 since BFP. Other stuff weekly if not more. Once *we* take the permanent measures the count will rise. I feel like the odd mom out. I would make time for it every day or every other day.

Up until recently, DH and I only had sex maybe 1-2 times a month and that was fine with me. After DS was born it was painful for me for quite a while, and thanks to BFing I had no sex drive. I never, ever initiated and didn't really care if we did it at all. It's like I forgot that sex is fun, which is not terribly good for one's marriage. Then DS got to the 1 year mark, and by mid-January I had him night-weaned. What a difference! My period came back, and I feel like my sex drive is back to normal. Now we DTD a couple times a week.
