T P's please with update
Yesterday I woke up and out of the blue, had been struck with the worst case of mastitis I've ever had in my right breast. I was running a fever, had chills, almost passed out from the pain a few times. I had to call my MIL to come help with Barrett because I was afraid to pick him up. I went to my OB yesterday and she gave me a huge shot of some strong antibiotics in my hip and I have to go back today for a second shot.
The reason I ask for your T P's is because my OB said she is concerned about me. This is my fourth round of mastitis since I began breastfeeding. She scheduled me for a right breast ultrasound today to rule out the possibility of inflammatory breast cancer. While I know it is a small chance that I have cancer, I am still terrified.
It was a rough day yesterday. My OB strongly discouraged me from continuing to breastfeed and did not seem supportive of me reaching my goal of one year. I immediately went and saw the hospital LC I used when I gave birth. Luckily, she felt there was no reason I should quit since I have been able to have long periods of time without mastitis. She was supportive off continuing, thank God.
So anyways, if you could spare a prayer for me today, I would greatly appreciate it. I am terrified but pray there is nothing to be concerned about.
UPDATE: Hey ladies, I have good news and bad news. Good news: my ultrasound came back clear. The bad news: my mastitis is so bad that I am being hospitalized to undergo IV antibiotics for a couple of days. I know it's what is best for me but I am heartbroken I didn't get to say a proper goodbye to DS.

Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!

Feb./March 2013: AMH less than 0.16 (undectable) and AFC = 4;

Have you tried soy lecithin? For some reason it decreases your clogged ducts, and clogged ducts can lead to mastitis, so I'm wondering if it might help with your mastitis issue?

I'm currently taking Lecithin 1200 mg in gel cap form, but I've never heard of soy Lecithin. Is there a difference?
All of the lecithin supps I looked at online mention that they are from soy, so I would imagine they are the same thing. Darn, I was really hoping I could help. Lots of hugs and T&P. Please let us know.
