Intro + Q

Hello! We have known we are due with twins since just before 10 weeks but had another ultrasound today, and all is well. We are very nervous with having a DD that will be close to 2 and half once the twins are born. I'm getting more comfortable with the idea of handling two babies and our DD but having a hard time with the financial aspect of it all, from daycare to just making sure they are well taken care of long term as well...

My question is for the twin mothers out there. Someone that is a mother of twins sent me something on the Table for Two feeding System for twins...I can't believe how much it is but if it would be something that would make my life that much easier I will add it to the list. Anybody else use this? Or something similar? Is it really necessary?

Thanks so much!!

  • Congrats and welcome! That feeding system looks awesome, but I wouldn't say it is necessary. For the first three months, we used NB Boppy Loungers. Now, we use bouncy chairs. Having them upright is much easier, especially with our boys since we have reflux issues. If someone gave it to me as a gift, I'd be thrilled, but I don't think I would buy it for myself.

  • Nope - we tadem bottle feed using a twin my brest friend pillow (meant for nursing) They are 6 months today and it is still working for us!  I think it cost around $40 and my husband and I can both use it comfortably on the couch so one of us can bottle feed both at the same time.

  • I am the biggest baby gear junkie and have pretty much 2 of everything! That being said, I don't think I would buy this. It's basically the same thing as 2 bouncy seats or two boppies, but at least those are separate so you can move them around (maybe you can separate this thing too, I didn't look at it too close).

The biggest problem I see with this "system" is that you have to lean forward the whole time to hold the bottles and since you are holding 2 bottles, your arms can't help support you...meaning your back will get tired of leaning over. I used 2 boppies on either side of me and leaned back against the couch. Much more comfortable because your arms are in a natural, relaxed position.

I would save your money. I'd rather have 2 bouncy seats that are light and you you can move around the house easily, and then 2 boppies for feedings.
