We do in-home daycare with a woman we know who watches my niece and nephew too, and it's $25 a day. I'm in Ohio. We don't pay if he doesn't go, and he only goes 2-3 days a week because we have other people who want to watch him for free.
In downtown Boston we pay $1600/month at a daycare center. This is for 5 days a week up to 9 hours a day. We looked at 2 other centers, one was $2200/month the other was $2800/month. They're all within a 5 min walk of each other.

Northeast PA and we pay $135/wk for a center. We have twins, but don't get a discount for the 2nd child. I'm fine with that as the rates are pretty low.
We also looked at a center closer to work (~20 miles away) that is $190/wk. The COL for the two areas is comparable, if not a bit less, closer to work.
Well, I am very fortunate... I pay $1,484/month for two kids (joy of learning in delran, NJ; I have a 2 y/o and a 4 month old). But Kiddie academy
Infant room $273.00 a week
