I have them, but I have yet to administer them. We have been dealing with green poo, and I didn't want to start them, because they can actually CAUSE green poo. So, I am waiting to rule out a dairy allergy or foremilk/hindmilk imbalance before I start them.
Gah, that was a mouthful. ) Tri-Vi-Sol is what I have.
yup. we give DD poly-vi-sol everyday...i have to pump an ounce or so and mix in the drops and bottle-feed it to her though...otherwise we both end up covered in the brown goo (which smells like butthole and chicken broth...eeewwww, totally gross)

My pedi said to start them at 2mos. She said it is because we bundle them up to protect them from the elements and they don't get their Vitamin D from the sun. I imagine if I had a baby in warmer weather she'd have given me a different age to start them.
I agree...I was told by pediatrician to give him the drops. Then I did research and decided that DS didn;t need the drops. I just make sure he gets at least 15 minutes of sunlight a day. I get out with DS everyday so I am not that worried about it.?

ditto. people have BFed for thousands of years without the vit d drops. I'm not a fan of giving unnecessary vits.
