I have never posted on this board before...

But, I am having trouble deciding on a name for my daughter. My husband and I have completely different tastes in names. There are a few we can agree on, and I think we are leaning toward Camille. I love it and think it is beautiful, but I just have a few concerns.

1. It doesn't have an easy nickname. It's not that big of a deal, I know. My son is named Cole, which has no nicknames, but we still came up with a ton and use them.

2. The middle name is going to be May, after a family member, and I don't think Camille May flows particularly nicely.

3. When I say it, it reminds me of come 'ere. As in come here.

Now that I wrote that out, it seems really silly and I sort of want to delete this post. haha. But I'd like to here what some others have to say anyway.

Nn: Cami and love the nn Millie

I like Camille May or there is Camilla May and you could use the nn Mila.

I don't hear come here when I say Camille.

It is a beautiful name you should go with it.

Camille can have lots of NNs! Cam, Cammie, Millie, MiMi. As far as the flow of Camille May, I have to agree. How about Camilla May? And I forgot your 3rd question.

I think it is wonderful, has lots of nicknames like the other posters said, and flows well enough. If you love it, use it!

My friend Camille mostly goes by her full name but some people call her Cami.

I like the flow of Camille May, it's very feminine.

I think it flows just fine. It's not like you're going to call her by first & middle names all the time so, IMO it doesn't need to flow well anyway. If you're worried about it though, I like PP suggestion of Camilla May.
