He's passing toys from hand to hand, so there's that milestone.
Unfortunely, he's discovered how much fun it is to bounce and move around in the swing. So I have to seatbelt him in, which sucks as I used to just lay him in there to fall asleep and the buckling in process wakes him up. Sadsies.
He's started to grab and pull DD's hair. Retribution for the torture she's inflicted on him thus far??
The Maldives or Uranus. Because it'd be funny to answer "Uranus" when someone asks where I'm from.

As of yesterday we made it to six months of EBF!! DD may have eaten a speck of toast or broccoli in our first few attempts at BLW, but I'm so not counting that. When we were first starting nursing and it was a nightmare this seemed like an eternity away. Now I'm very optimistic we can make it to a year, if teething doesn't throw us off!
DD has also sat unassisted, though never for more than a few seconds.
We're still experiencing more night wakeups than I want, but I'm not sure what to do about it. A good friend is starting to Ferberize her daughter, and I realized it's sort of what I loosely do with DD when she fights naps during the day. But I don't know if I should resist feeding her at night, because if she's REALLY hungry (and she always seems very hungry), then I should feed her, right? Just don't know what to do.
If I could live anywhere, it would be in one of my two favorite cities: Berlin or Chicago.
Funny stories? DD plays this game in the evenings where she nurses for a few seconds and then pulls off and looks up at me and smiles. She has been doing that a lot lately. I think she is playing a little game with me. It makes my heart melt. She is so sweet.
GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, nay, THE UNIVERSE, where would you live? I would love to live in Montana or Wyoming - wide open spaces, mountains, four different seasons, lots of nature. That sounds like heaven to me.
My DD does this sometimes, too, and it is the CUTEST EVER. Even when I know she really ought to eat.
Also, Montana or Wyoming sound amazing. My desire to live in the wilderness wars with my desire to be able to walk to the library or a coffee shop.
. But I don't know if I should resist feeding her at night, because if she's REALLY hungry (and she always seems very hungry), then I should feed her, right? Just don't know what to do.
I would feed her if you believe she is really hungry. She will have a hard time falling asleep if she is hungry and crying. If you notice it becoming a consistent nightly pattern then maybe revise her feeding schedule...maybe she can get a feed a hour before bedtime and see how it goes. Good luck

Any milestones this week? DD will hit two months this week. Where did the time go? It feels like I gave birth ages ago, and sometimes it feels like last week.
Challenges? DD does not eat a lot in the morning. I suffer from engorgement as a result. She does wake up once in the middle of the night, sometime between 3 am and 4 am but eats very little. She's starting to stay awake longer during those feeds which doesn't bode well for me because I go back to work in two weeks. I'm going to shower the night before and get as much sleep as I can. I don't care if I look like sh!t at work. We are also going to transition her to the crib in our upstairs bedroom sometime this week or next week. She and I have been sleeping in the downstairs bedroom because it is frigid in our upstairs bedroom.
GTKY: If you could live anywhere in the world, nay, THE UNIVERSE, where would you live?
That's a toughie! I guess if I wanted to live in a US city, it would be Boston or Chicago. An European city, it would be Paris. I loved Paris!
If I wanted to live somewhere tropical that is absolutely secluded, I'd pick the Mayan Riviera.

Thank you... she always nurses like crazy when I do finally cave and feed her. I usually try to soothe her by other means first, though, because I don't want her nursing for comfort in the middle of the night. I am thinking I may try just feeding her more during the day and see if it helps. She usually nurses about two hours before bed and then right before bed.

Milestones: DD has discovered barrel rolling! She rolled half way across the living room the other day. Lol I think she's going to ditch her crawling attempts and roll every where instead.
Challenges: Sleep is hit or miss. Lately she's been waking up at 10pm after going to bed at 8. She seems to go through spurts of random waking. After she does go back to sleep, though, she'll sleep until 7-7:30, which she's normally up at 6:30 on the dot. I'm not complaining, just wish she's stick to some sort of schedule.
GTKY: I'd want to live some place tropical with a privet beach, palm trees, and a cute bar tender.

Milestones: DD turned 2 months! She is getting more interested in her play mat and watching all the hanging toys. She has also turned into a CHAMPION sleeper, and for the last week has had a 7 to 8 hour chunk of sleep, it has been amazing!! I keep waiting for it to end and go back to waking every 3 hours, but so far so good!
We took our first trip away from home, we went up to the mountains with friends. DH skiied and me and DD hungout in the lodge. She did sooo welland we had a great time.
I'd probably live where I do now, honestly, which is Denver. We are in the suburbs, but close enough to the city, and only 1.5 hours from the mountains. Love having 4 seasons too.
DH and I have always wanted to visit Denver! It sounds lovely.

Go DD!
Also I'm curious if only tropical locales warrant a cute bartender... 'cause I could go for one of those, too :O
Milestones: We also reached 6 months of EBF! DS is a rolling machine; he will immediately roll off any soft item I put him on, to lie on our hardwood floors. He can sit momentarily on his own now. Also, shrieking.
Challenges: I miss my STTN baby. We had 6 glorious weeks from 10.5 - 16 weeks. He is too busy during the day to eat much so he's doing a classic reverse cycle and taking in tons of milk at night. I'd go somewhere quiet to nurse him during the day, but I don't want to waste the little bit of time DD spends in front of Thomas the Tank Engine with nursing. That's Bump time!
Stories: DS is fascinated with DD and loves watching her run around. He is also fascinated with my hair and will pop off while nursing just to play with it. We have had some very sweet moments lately where he will pop off, put his hand on my face and just look at me and smile. *cue melting*
GTKY: Beacon Hill or Back Bay (Boston) would be nice, if we had a gazillion dollars. We live outside of Boston and I miss living in a more walkable area.

Nicole pulled up for the first time on Saturday! Or maybe not the first time...but the first time at home. (boo, I almost wish the DC lady hadn't told me she'd been doing that last week too).
Challenges - diaper changes are near impossible these days -she always crawls away.
If I didn't have to worry about work, Hanalei Bay in Kauai.
ETA: What is with you crazy women who want 4 seasons? I'll visit the snow for a few days to ski, but otherwise...who doesn't want perma-summer??? (San Diego is pretty awesome).
Awesome on the pulling up! Also, I giggled at the idea of her crawling away while you're trying to change her.
And thanks for the tips on feeding her... I work from home, mostly, so I tried to offer it to her more today and we'll see if that helps any.
