How many naps?

How many naps are your LOs taking these days? We were still doing 3 a day until today. I put him down 2 hours after he wakes and he'll sleep 1.5 hours a so each time. He seemed to be doing well with that schedule but was starting to fight the last nap. And now he's in two afternoons of daycare twice a week so the middle of the day nap won't happen because it's right during the transition. So I'm trying to spread it out to 2 naps and hoping he'll get 2 longer naps instead of three shorter naps.

So I'm just curious, what are all your babies doing for naps?

99% of the time we have 2 naps a day.

We wake up between 630/7. First nap usually is from 9-11/1130. Afternoon nap is from 1-4/430. Bed around 8pm.

He set this schedule at around 4 months or so... and we've kept with it.

DD pretty much dropped the third nap about a month ago. She usually does two naps of anywhere from 30-90 minutes each. If she does two shorter naps, I usually try to squeeze in a third, but she often fights it and I end up just having to put her to bed early.

DD has scaled back to 2 naps, usually equalling 2 hours. Usually with each nap lasting an hour each or one nap lasting 1.5 hours and one nap lasting 30 mins.

DD sleeps from 7:30/8:00-6/6:30. She still wakes up several times a night and nurses. She will take her first nap either at 9:30 or 11:30, then she will take her next nap 4 hours after she wakes up from her first nap. I don't really think she sleeps enough, but that is the schedule she likes best.

We are at 2 naps for the past week- I have an early riser, up at 5:30, back down from 8:30-11 then back down from 2-4:30

Usually two but sometimes one. I have a feeling today will be a one nap day with a slightly earlier bedtime. DD decided to take a 2 1/2 hr nap at MIL which is very unusual for her.

Seriously. We're at 3 a day. Daycare days are 9-9:30, 12:15-1 and 6-6:30. Days at home are more like 11-11:30 and 5-5:30. I don't understand how she can sleep so little. I've been really excited lately because since she's been sick her naps are WAY longer, averaging 1.5-2 hours now, but I don't know if that will stick once she's well.

We have been taking one two hour nap in the middle of the day since day one. She has always slept through the night though

We were doing 2-3 a day but during our vacation We only got in 2 but they were longer since We got back it is a struggle to do two and the afternoon nap seems to Have turned into bedtime due to jet lag. i guess i can't complain as he went from 3 30-45 min naps to one 2-3 hour nap in about 3 weeks time.

Those are some awesome naps!! DD gets up around 7:45 am, naps at 10:30 till 11:30 or so, then another nap around 2:30 till about 4. Bed at 7:30 pm, sleeps through the night.

same here. ava usually sleeps until 5:30-6:00 then will stay up till about 9 depending when she wakes up then naps again at about 130-300

DD naps almost 30 minutes exactly! Usually twice a day, sometimes a third before dinner if she's tired. I don't know how she can sleep so little! I too am jealous of all these hour-plus nappers

Our switch yesterday to 2 naps didn't go well. He was a cranky mess by dinner time. So I think we'll stick with the 3 naps a day for a while longer. And probably unrelated, he woke up with pink eye this morning. How fun! After he just started part time day care on tuesday. Hmmm what a coincidence.

Two naps a day here. At daycare it's hit or miss because of the noise of the other babies but at home on weekends I lay him down for a morning and afternoon nap. He will usually fall asleep for anywhere between 1-3 hours. He has been doing this for a while now.

Lol I'd be scared my kid was dead if he slept that long EVER! Lucas isn't on a set schedule he naps when he wants where ever we are, I can't stay home and plan my day around everyone's nap and school schedules or I'd never get anything done.

Most days he takes two half hour to an hour nap

im jealous too! I do a happy dance if she sleeps for more than an hour... Sometimes it's only half an hour!
