I really wish we'd invested in a better swing. Our graco travel swing (that you pop the car seat into) never cut it, LO HATED it. I really wish we'd invested more $ in the snuggabunny or something of the like.
I also wish we'd spent more money on our bouncer. LO enjoys just bouncing himself. He doesn't really ever play with the toys and never really has. I wish we'd bought the Bjorn babysitter, to be honest.

Re: Items you wish you had spent more $ on....
Hmm. Good question!
I don't think it's so much spent more money on, but I wish we had bought a lot of things before I had him, like the Bumbo seat, a really good carrier, more winter clothes, etc.
I wish I would have shopped around for a smaller bouncer (we have the My Little Snugabunny bouncer, and it is HUGE and we trip over it all the time).
I wish I had spent the money on a bigger (higher weight limit) car seat. DS is not even 5 months old and he's almost out of the car seat! I wish I had bought a convertible.
Sorry, this isn't really what you asked...:(

I love this question. I wish i registered for a more expensive activity mat. we have the Baby Einstein ocean-esque one and i think it is too small and doesnt encourage LO to roll around. I kinda wish I got an Uppababy stroller. Every time I see one I wish I had one.
Off topic but I never used the Moby Wrap - it was too much of a pain to try to put on and I kept having to read the manual (as if I had time to do that when I was trying to use the carrier to hush a crying baby).
1.) The pack-n-play. DS1 never used his so we bought a super cheapie one for DS2 (we gave DS1's away thinking we were done having kids). DS2 uses his for naps and just to play in quite a bit.
2.) Glider - Bought a cheapie Storkcraft that is just ok. I use it all the time to nurse, pump, rock LO. Although when we convert his room to a toddler room I'll probably be glad I didn't spend more.
3.) Wish I would have bought my Beco Gemini right away instead of waiting till he was 2 months old. I love that thing.
4.) Wish we would have started CD'ing right away instead of using disposables for the first 6 weeks.
Glad I spent money on the snugabunny swing, the snugabunny bouncer, the RNP, and MBF nursing pillow. We still use all of them but the RNP daily.
My stroller! I really wish I had bought a Bugaboo Bee w/DD1. Or really, the most expensive stroller we could have afforded at the time. It would have been a stretch, but we could have afforded it if we had cut back on eating out, etc.
We're done having kids so it would be a waste now, but the travel system was a complete waste of money. It was too heavy. I ended up buying a snap-n-go off craigslist for $15 & I'm STILL using it.
It would be nice too have the Bee to transition into..ah well
Things well worth the money: a good swing & the Ergo.
I wish we would have bought a nicer chair for the nursery. I like the one we bought but DH doesn't think it is very comfortable.
I have more things that I wish we hadn't bought. I bought a bunch of cute 3-6mo winter clothes for him to wear to daycare. He grew out of most of them before he started daycare. I didn't have a RNP for DS1 but decided to get it for DS2 because everyone raved about it on here. DS2 hated it and I pretty much used it as a laundry basket.
Nursing bras! Yes! I bought one, and the lady was really freaking pushy about me buying it. I wasn't in the mood (I told her I just needed to be fitted, since my boobs were practically ripping my other bra) and in end, the bra I got was torn and I was too tired to take it back to deal with the bra lady.
This is me exactly. I finally just ordered an Ergo baby carrier. It's not here yet, but I am SO excited about it.
I will say, we invested in the Uppababy and I love it. My only complaint is the rear wheels have such a wide base, I'm constantly smashing into door frames if I'm not careful.

I seriously missed the memo on the RNP and had no idea what everyone was talking about for the first six weeks! I don't think we missed anything not buying it, DS slept in his crib pretty soon after he was born. But, we also had his crib in our room because we have a tiny condo.
