Jumping but not walking?

My twins are 11.5 months and last week they started jumping completely JUMPING not bouncing their feet actually leave the ground and they will do this for 10 - 15 mins straight in the middle of the room before they decide to sit down.

Has any one ever heard of this? they refuse to attempt to take a step but they have excellent balance.
