I like sawyer and sadie and piper, i would go piper just because i dislike siblings with a "thing" to their names. all the same letter (though s is a common letter...) or all ending in "ey" or all names of places etc...but the names are dif enough this shouldn't be a problem (i like stella too, but if hubby dislikes, sorry:(
1. Harper
DH and I like too but agree its too super popular
2. Sadie
Ok
3. Mackenzie
Dislike and kind of boring
5. Stella
Like
6. Sawyer
Dislike for a girl
I threw Stella in there hoping you would all love it and it would help me sell hubby on it! Haha! Lol over the dog comment!
Its so hard to pick a non trendy girl name! All others that aren't trendy seem 80's to me! Lol!
The thing about trendy is either you care or you don't. Trendy names, by my definition, age with a person in a "bad" way. IE- names like Tiffany, Tracy, Trish those are names that when you hear them you can venture a guess as to how old that person is. KWIM?
As for Stella- we can all drool over it, but I have learned that the husband species are quite stubborn! I love Piper! Its great name all around, IMO.
Harper: Not a fan. WAY too trendy for my liking. Sadie: Love Sadie! Mackenzie: Dislike a lot! Hate even... Piper: My name I've always loved having it. Stella: Adorable. Too bad H can't get on board. Sawyer: Okay. NMS.
Harper - how is this trendy? I don't know any (other than Victoria Beckham's baby) I haven't seen it on any baby name lists and I think it is beautiful in the past, present, and future
Sadie - apparently very popular for a dog's name
Mackenzie - strongly dislike, seems 80s and only 80s..dated
Piper - Interesting, not sure how I feel about it, reminds me of a spunky little girl with short hair lol
Stella - I love this name, I prefer girly names like this
Sawyer - one of my fav boy names!
I LOVE Samantha!!

Thanks, everyone for your input!
Whoever suggest Sarah rather than Sadie, my name is Sarah. And no, we're not trying to go for all S's, that's just been what we like.
Man, I agree with you guys after reading all the helpful comments. I wish hubby would like Stella bc it's my favorite.
Any other suggestions with Samantha are welcome! I may need to go back to the drawing board! Good thing I have 17 weeks to figure it out!

Harper - love it
Sadie - my dog's name, but I name my animals human names. Seems more like a nn though.
Mackenzie - seems dated to me, but goes well with DD's name in that it's longer and 3 syllables
Piper - really like this one even though it's trendy also. Goes well with DD's name.
Stella - if hubby dislikes I think it's off the table
Sawyer - horrible for a girl.
Suggestions:
Mallory
Natalie (love it and it pairs well with Samantha)
Victoria
Vivienne
DH and I like too but agree its too super popular

Harper - Trendy, NMS
Sadie - Adorable
Mackenzie - Trendy, but fading trend(?), NMS
Piper - Really like this one
Stella - if your husband doesn't like it you'll probably have to let it go
Sawyer - not a girl name for me, and I am not a fan of androgynous names
Your DS is Samantha???? lol sorry I'm sure it was a typo.
My favorite of your list is Piper. Second is Harper. We had a dog named Sadie so to me it's a dog's name. Sawyer and Mackenzie I strongly dislike.
Haha yes DD typo!
Guilerma can we switch husbands?
1. Harper-Sounds like harping...as in nagging. I don't get it's appeal.
2. Sadie-I like Sadie. I think it goes nicely with Samantha
3. Mackenzie-Dislike...alot
4. Piper-I don't think it ages well.
5. Stella-This is my favorite from your list but if your DH doesn't like it then it probably isn't the right choice.
6. Sawyer-Great for a boy. Terrible for a girl.
Edit: Bumping while tired=poor spelling
Sadie: Love Sadie!
Mackenzie: Dislike a lot! Hate even...
Piper: My name
Stella: Adorable. Too bad H can't get on board.
Sawyer: Okay. NMS.

Lol! I should probably warn you that he also suggested Bellum as the middle name to go with it.. Stella Bellum, or Star War, translated.
Re: Harper.
Welcome to the SSA.

1. Harper
I will never get the appeal of this name. This is a harpy:
2. Sadie - I concur I only know dogs with this name and it sounds like a nickname.
3. Mackenzie - 80's
4. Piper - I don't mind this one, just NMS.
5. Stella - I like, but if your DH isn't a fan it goes.
6. Sawyer (yes, for a girl) - I have no words for how bad this is and how 2010 it's going to seem down the road.
Love Samantha!Unfortunately I don't care for the others either. I'm no help! But I can emphatically say NO to Harper.
